This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. Sometimes I wonder if Tom isn't a little bit bullying in his certainty and determination to convince Sybil of his and her own feelings.

I’m back from hols - v good indeed - but haven’t caught up with the earlier episodes.

Mrs Bird has set up a soup kitchen in Isabel's absence.

Mrs Bird is helping to feed the hungry ex soldiers. It's a bit of a disgrace for them to be suffering like that.

Not sure if it's just me, but it does amuse me that Lord G strides around his own house in full army uniform.

Downton as a second rate hotel...she always gets the best lines.

First time round, I don't think I really appreciated Maggie Smith's lines.

Yes, it's like a sad wannabe...I bet the officers have a little snigger when he's not looking.

Oh O'Brian will you never change

Molesley spills the beans about Ethel and Major whatshisname.

Mr M is trying to ingratiate himself and get the vacant valet job. Little does he know that Lord G is on the search for Bates.

Meanwhile...Mrs Hughes is following a lead and ...yep...it lead right to Ethel and the flirtatious major. Caught in the act...ooops!!!

Ethel is now sacked.

What was it that O'Brien said...be careful what you wish for. Ethel brought that upon herself. To have no reference in those days was death to any employment opportunities.

Lord G makes up with Bates

Lord G is still digging to try to find out what the gossip about the family was.

Now O'B knows about the food

O'Brien is suspecting Mrs Patmore is up to something dodgy so has come to spy on her and Daisy down at Isabel's house.

Mary still going on at Sybil..all for the wrong reasons.

Ahh, Bates returns.

Mr Bates is back in the fold.
