I don't believe it's needless. I was cringing at the way she spoke to BB in the DR about wanting to leave. I'd think that was aggressive whether the speaker was black, white, brown or purple

It's also the way she says things like "they need to know not to rile me because they know how I'm going to react" (cba to check but was along those lines). She holds others responsible for her inability to control her own temper. That's exactly what abusers do. If she were a man saying that about a woman there'd be uproar. She's had an easy ride in there as they're all walking on eggshells, scared to offend her. Look how she reacted practically on day 1 when Khaled called her aggy.

If I'd been in the house in my 20's I'd have been so uncomfortable around her. If I was in there now though I'd be calling her out on her behaviour for sure.

I didn't think Nikki Graham was funny. I thought she was a massive pita too.

Oh she definitely was but her rants were so ridiculous I did find them funny. I remember her once having a breakdown as there weren't pink lady apples on the shopping list 😂

Some of Lily's over the top strops about things would be amusing on their own. It's all the random screaming and miaowing etc when she fancies a bit of airtime that are fucking annoying.

I remember her going nuts over a bruised banana. But as we now know, she had serious issues around food for most of her life.

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 07/11/2024 12:18

Let’s not forget as we discuss this Nikki Graham was very fragile mentally. We can’t judge her actions like we can a fully functioning adult. Lily doesn’t have any MH problems AFAWK.

It’s thought that an addicts maturing stalls at the age the addiction begins and I think Nikki’s started pre-puberty so mentally she was far too young to be in the house.

I also can’t begin to imagine how hard it must have been for a recovering anorexic in a house where the whole culture is rewarding with food and punishing by withdrawing food. It must have really messed with her head and possibly triggered her eventual relapse.

Yes... it's actually horrific to think she was allowed to go in there unless she and her family kept her issues hidden from the producers?

Totally agree.

CellophaneFlower · 07/11/2024 12:31

BTW, I wasn't comparing the two mentally but I'm convinced Lily is trying to replicate her strops.

Diverting the thread - is anyone else fed up of the Amazon advert? I normally skip ads but have watched live the last two nights and that annoying ad with the caretaker singing in the theatre is on in every single break.

it's getting the point where I'd like to cancel my Amazon Prime in protest but that would mean having to go to shops and I can't handle that!

Yeah that advert is annoying to me too. He can't even bloody sing!

ALL my votes go to LILY. Awful, scruffy, unhygienic, screechy cow. Attention seeking, selfish, pathetically childish, and annoying! The MSG yelling over and over was ludicrous! That tipped me over to voting for her. Would have been Ali otherwise. Hopefully it's both.

I don't think Khaled will go.

ElderPrice · 07/11/2024 13:18

Looking at twitter (v quickly!) it's clear that many of the Khaled and/or Ali fans are telling each other to vote for BP and Lily or BP and Emma... but it's not looking good for poor old BP!

CellophaneFlower · 07/11/2024 13:25

I think if it was vote to save BP would definitely be out. I'm hoping as people feel so strongly about certain housemates it won't be her. Not as I particularly want her to stay but as I feel it's unfair as she wasn't put up by the house in the usual way but mostly as I'd much rather see Ali and Lily go 🤞

Horrace · 07/11/2024 14:26

Ali - way too serious, no personality. Boring as fuck.

Kahlid - as above.

Hanah - "Juno what I mean babes, literally" "It's like playing chest with prawns"

The girl can't string a sentence together.

Wantmyoldlifeback · 07/11/2024 15:10

Imagine if Ali and Khaled got together

Igotmylipstickon · 07/11/2024 16:07

I reckon Marcello's save & replace reasons were purely strategic. He knows Khalid will be more of a rival to win than Tom. He chose BP as she also would be more of a rival than obvious choice Nathan, plus he also knew that would p*ss Nathan off. Easier to pretend it's because he fancied BP at the start. Worse to look like you are trying to play a game - he saw what happened with Dean.

Educational system really has let Hanah down - she thought a bunny and a rabbit were different things. Same story with a horse and pony.

Controversially, I like Ali and want her to stay.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 07/11/2024 16:27

Current odds have Baked Potato and either Ali or Lily to go. I’m quite surprised about BP. The odds have been correct for every eviction thus far.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 07/11/2024 16:28

I really like Ali too, @Igotmylipstickon I shall be gutted if/when she inevitably goes on Friday.

Aquarius1234 · 07/11/2024 16:43

Lily admitted a couple of weeks back she puts the screams and crazy behaviour on esp on nominations day and eviction day.
Ali sees her as a little sister. Which is weird, I argue with mine and would never be able to get away with her behaviour growing up.

purpleme12 · 07/11/2024 16:54

I don't remember her saying that

THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE IS TRANSFORMED INTO A GANGSTER’S PARADISE
For this week’s shopping task the Big Brother house is transformed into a gangster’s paradise.

As the Housemates gather in the living room for the last shopping task of the series, Big Brother says: “This is Big Brother, Housemates, it’s time to get your game faces on and your alibis ready. For this last shopping task, you’ll be stepping into the criminal underworld. Each of you joining one of three infamous criminal crews.”

Crews consist of: Ali, Hanah and Nathan as The Biker Bandits, Emma, Segun and Thomas as The Moustache Mob and Khaled, Sarah and Baked Potato as The Grifter Geezers

Each crew will answer to Big Brother’s Big Boss and Head of House, Marcello assisted by his right hand woman Lily.
One of the crews will be sent on a secret mission to sabotage the task and steal the luxury shopping budget, only if Marcello and Lily identify the correct saboteurs will the Housemates pass the task.

All is not as it seems as the saboteur crew will in fact hold even more power over today’s task as Big Brother brings them in on another secret revelation.

THE TASK LEAVES BAKED POTATO QUESTIONING HER FUTURE WITH NATHAN
With them both being in different crews, Baked Potato and Nathan discuss the task.
Baked Potato says: “You know how I said I genuinely trust it’s not you, if it turns out for some reason you are lying, I will be p*ssed off.”

Nathan responds: “What do you mean?”
Baked Potato clarifies: “P*ssed off.”
Nathan quips back: “Well that’s handy then because you won’t be.”

Baked Potato reiterates: “Cool, if you’re saying that stuff, I’d be like wow he’s good at lying and it will freak me out.”
As Ali observes she remarks: “Trouble in paradise.”

A RIFT FORMS BETWEEN LILY AND SARAH
Later that evening as Lily talks about her dream shopping list consisting of “100 packets of chocolate bars, no veg, no fruit, chicken nuggets, pizza, chips, mayonnaise and 50 packs of bacon” Sarah seems less than impressed.

Lily tells Sarah: “Sarah, it’s just because you are scared of my bread.”
Marcello interjects: “Why do you think everyone is intimidated by you.”
Lily replies: “It’s because I’m a chef.”

As they disagree on who baked better bread, Lily goes onto say: “Your bread was so flat”
Whilst Sarah finishes her sentence as she adds: “It looked like your a**. Is it pancake day? Is it pancake day?”

Ali assures Lily: “Don’t worry Lily, she’s just jealous of your brain.”
Lily says: “Sarah, this whole facade screams jealousy."

Whilst the conversation continues, Sarah goes onto say: “You also thought that I was defensive when I actually wasn’t so your judgement of character isn’t really proving itself today but go on.”

Marcello decides to intervene as he says: “Right, no more beef girls I can see this getting a bit out of hand.”

With a few last words for Sarah, Lily says: “I’m going to nominate you if I stay.”
Will Lily’s choice of words and decision to discuss nominations come back to haunt the Housemates?

Oh god, I wish bb would put them all up for eviction this week as a result of that rule break! Then Thomas might go instead of Ali.

I'm clutching along with you! I had the same thought.
Still fuming at their own stupidity of not nominating Nathan!

I really feel the producers could have rigged it that anyone with 1 nomination goes up.
Least it would be fair and see who is actually popular/ unpopular.
I've said I just think they for whatever reason love Nathan!! Ewww no thanks.
They also could have swung it for Lily to get HOH then save Ali.
Everything else is manipulative so why not. ?hmmmm

Perhaps it isn't as manipulated as you think then as they'd love to keep Ali and Lily in there.

No point in 1 nom and up either. They could just put everyone up if they wanted.

I forgot about Nathan! I’d far rather he went than anyone. Him, then Thomas please.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 07/11/2024 19:02

They’ve manipulated things in the past to get the whole house up, but that’s when they made money from mass voting. Now that the votes are free do they care who stays or goes? In the early weeks I suppose yes, as they want people to watch, but at this late stage it’s not really that important.

The house will be really dull when it’s just the bredren left. Even if you dislike Ali, she has massively contributed to the drama.

It's always the same though, generally the ones people dislike are the ones that create the most drama. It's why they often used to do "vote to save" as it stopped people voting en masse to evict the argumentative arseholes interesting characters.

It's always a fine line for me whether to keep the people that wind me up in for the drama or to boot them out so they don't get the satisfaction of making it to the finish line.
