ALL RISE – A NEW HEAD OF HOUSE IS CROWNED
It’s Emma’s last day as Head of House, and time for a new boss in town. The impending transfer of Head of House power is causing much conversation and it’s anyone’s for the taking. But this is Big Brother after all – so expect a few twists and turns.
Calling current Evil Head of House to the Diary Room, Emma, Big Brother says:
“Today marks the last day of your reign as Evil Head of House. To determine the next leader, Big Brother needs you to gather the distinguished members of Big Brother’s Head of House – Khaled & Ali in the secret basement. You must not be discovered.”
Speaking to Ali, Emma says: “I need to gather you and Khaled. We need to go into the secret basement.”
Emma’s sneaky plan to get Khaled’s attention leaves some of the Housemates concerned for her welfare after she fakes a tumble in the garden, leaving her limping. But rest assured - she’s fine.
It’s a tense time as they try to sneak away.
In the secret basement, Big Brother says:
“This is Big Brother. I would say well done, but that would be a stretch. Head of House Emma, Ali and Khaled. Welcome back to my secret basement. Today, you all face a very important decision. You will now help determine who will become the final Head of House. Each of you will choose the Housemate you want to become the next Head of House...
"Later this evening, the final Head of House will be decided. This is a huge decision. The final Head of House will have influence on nominations as well as receiving immunity, as well as guaranteeing a place in the final week.
Later in the day, Housemates gather in the living room to hear from the Head of House alumni about who they’ve selected to be in the running out of three potential candidates. Who will they pick? And what ripples will this cause?
And at the end of the night they’re treated to a fireworks display and the new Head of House is revealed in spectacular fashion.
KHALED’S UNLIKELY ALLY IN ALI
Talking in the bedroom, Ali and Lily discuss Khaled and the recent discussions around his character and behaviour.
Ali says: “Don’t you think Khaled’s getting a bit of a tough time now?”
Lily responds: “It’s true. People have said stuff about Khaled. As soon as Emma said it at the nomination, now it’s all coming out.”
Ali says: “And I don’t like it because I think it actually does upset him. And I’m like, one person can say during a task ‘this person plays up to the cameras’ and you can take it a bit on the chin. But it is a lot when you’re hearing it from multiple people at a time. It’s been said now. You don’t need to keep calling him vain and telling him that he’s looking in mirrors all the time.”
MARCELLO HAS A MOMENT WITH BIG BROTHER
Speaking to Big Brother in the Diary Room, Marcello reflects about what being in the Big Brother House has meant to him.
Marcello opens up: “I think the Big Brother experience is like a micro-version of wider life. I’m proud of myself. I’ve had very few days when I’m down and I’ve managed my emotions and feelings. And bringing happiness to people. And a lot of people have told me that I’m funny, my energy’s good and if I went, they’d miss me a lot. That means a lot to me...
And it’s something I don’t get on the outside world. I would love to have immunity until the end of the week. My mum would be so proud of me. I never win anything. We’ll have to see. This is something I need to assess in my character because I think I’ve got a bit of an underdog mentality. And it might be manifesting the wrong outcomes.”
