Graham deserves a lovely ending, like Dr Nick, when he'd just learnt to walk again after his accident. Ah happy days follow that football

toldmywrath · 07/11/2024 16:53

But today's ending was truly shocking, poor Scarlett.

KnottedTwine · 07/11/2024 17:01

Just catching up on today's.

Private hospital definitely a school or similar council buildings. Cheap let during the school holidays, plenty of parking. (Have form as a tv and film extra).

Bear, Scarlett and Rosie wearing awful knitwear - budget for laundry/costume running out towards the end?

Michelle tells Emma that she's been fired, and Emma arranges to meet her for lunch at the one and only bar/restaurant in Letherbridge where the rest of the staff will be too. (OK, so that's fairly par for the course for Doctors)

Maggie is even more irritating than Rosie, and that's saying something.

Poor Scarlett. Was it alluding to a sexual assault do we think?

Oh yes Grin

That was funny . It shouldn't have been, but it was Grin

longtompot · 07/11/2024 18:38

Just watched it. That made me feel so sick, even just when he wouldn't let her past, let alone the rest. Please tell someone Scarlett.

I hope is arrested in the penultimate episode so we can have just the usual crew together for the last day.

Pebbles16 · 07/11/2024 18:42

I feel so sad about today's episode.
Mad, I know... I want to send a quick email to Zara and tell me she HAS to do something. Really hope she confides in Jimmy or Al.
Very over-invested

Raahh · 07/11/2024 15:57

Yes, I could go with that.

Al will wake up in the hospital, like Dorothy at the end of the Wizard of Oz. Surrounded by all the cast.

'And you were there... and you were there...'

etc .

And Graham will melt in a puddle.

So long as it's not a remake of Bobby Ewing's shower scene.

Agree that Maggie character was incredibly irritating, badly scripted and even worse acting. We could really do without that.

That scene with Scarlett and Graham was just horrible. I'm not liking this end game.

Oh, the famous shower scene. Grin.

They really didn't need to bring Maggie into it. I mean why, now? Just as Rob and Ruhma were getting somewhere. Can't one of the cast have a happy ending?!

I really didn't like the ending. He's attacking the ones who are most vulnerable, in different ways- and in Scarlett's case, she can't afford to lose her job Sad

lazarusb · 07/11/2024 19:59

I couldn't watch today's episode due to work but I'm not sure I actually want to after reading MN. Did Graham pick on Scarlett because she's Luca's ally? I think he's a coward and a bully and wouldn't dream of picking on someone strong like Al.

He sees her as 'less' than him- she refused to make him a brew, and then wouldn't wash up for him. said it wasn't in her job description. He told her he would make things her job description.

He's a Grade A git.

He waited till she was alone locking up the surgery after dark, asked her to wash his cup, she refused and he grabbed her by the wrist and pinned her to the wall. He is a sick bastard. I wouldn't recommend watching it.

Thank you, I'll give that one a miss. I find it difficult to watch that sort of thing. God, I hope he gets his comeuppance before the end.

JessyCarr · 07/11/2024 22:33

The Graham actor is very good because I really hate him! The way his mask of affability slips away when he has his “victim” alone and vulnerable. And the manipulation of every situation to exert control while somehow having set it up so that he can plead innocence and “just trying to be helpful”. Uggggh.

Poor Scarlett. I hope she tells someone soon.

ExquisiteIyDecorated · 08/11/2024 08:23

He is good, slipping between pleasant mask and evil. This would have been a really good storyline had they done it in the normal run of things (apart from the ludicrous way he got the job) but right now all I want is for them to all live happily ever after, at this rate they are all going to be leaving traumatised or worse.

ExquisiteIyDecorated · 08/11/2024 08:24

Although <clutching at straws> they have been known to survive hostage takings and whatever and been completely back to normal a day or two later with it never mentioned again.

I agree- when the nasty bloke took over from Mrs T, it was ok, because it was all resolved happily and he left. So, as a proper story arc, we would have 'loved to hate' Graham, and cheered when he got his comeuppance.

But we know this time it's all very final- and they aren't going to magically undo all his nastiness in 4 episodes!

ExquisiteIyDecorated · 08/11/2024 16:07

Yes and that terrible twin who took Zara hostage. All forgotten about a week later. And Princess, never mentioned again, she was a super-baddie.

Raahh · 08/11/2024 17:01

Princess was an odd one- there felt like there should have been so much more of a back story, (the uncle, hints about how she got the jobs) the writers certainly seemed to be hinting at more. Then they got rid of her before actually doing anything about it.

By contrast, they have packed a whole heap of back story into Graham's storyline in the space of a few weeks!

Binglebong · 08/11/2024 20:14

Remind me - who took over from Mrs T? I seem to have completely blanked that one.

I think his name was Anthony- and we used to call him TBFH- the bloke from Holby (because that was where we recognised him from Grin).

toldmywrath · 08/11/2024 20:23

on the other hand, TBFE Howard was lovely wasn't heRaahh?

I can't remember Anthony TBFH🤦‍♀️

Raahh · 08/11/2024 20:24

But he was temporary Mrs T came back, then left eventually to get married - and then Shiny Shirt Becky arrived (the one from Hollyoaks) and an affair with Daniel.

Howard was lovely yes. And actually, Emma probably got her job because she knew him. (Since they were having an affair).

and she'd been in it 5 times already

Raahh · 08/11/2024 20:27

This was Anthony.
