Well, there's a question @Nespressso!
The second half of the book or stuff that hasn't been covered:
Taggie meets Rupert's children and he is enchanted because she is has such a heavenly time with them and him, even stroppy Tab likes her. They all play in the woods in the autumn leaves and Taggie picks Rupert some autumn leaves saying that he should keep them, as each one represents a happy day. He puts them in his drawer under some photos of the children, Cameron finds them and isn't happy as she realises he's mad about Taggie
Maud bumps into Monica Baddingham who says "just because our husbands are at war, doesn't mean we have to be" and after a boozy lunch at the Bar Sinister (Bas joins them and flirts with Maud) Monica persuades Maud to audition for the lead part in an Am Dram production of the Merry Widow. She drags her to the auditions which are about to finish and the director (ex London darling!) is enchanted and gives her the part.
Declan goes to Ireland to film a program about his beloved Yeats (which Rupert pronounces as Y-EATS, whereupon Cameron screams at him "for Chrissake, dumbass, it's pronounced YATES" and then thinks "God, I shouldn't have said that" ) with Cameron and she and Declan nearly sleep together but don't. However, Declan hears that an obscure and lauded Stroud playwright who never gives interviews lives nearby and persuades him to meet him so Venturer can put on his plays.
Maud is terrified at the first night of the Merry Widow and needs Declan there to calm her but he is still in Ireland chasing after the playwright and misses the plane and everything except the end of the after party. She is a triumph and there's a London agent in the audience. Rupert coaxes her onto the stage after she refuses to go on and at the end of the party when he arrives she decides to forgive Declan.
Venturer find out that the Irish playwright has been stolen from them by Corinium and think maybe Cameron is a mole. But it turns out that Maud, 'neglected' by Declan has been shagging Tony and telling him everything.
Then Beattie Johnson publishes Rupert's memoirs, which are sordid and filthy. Rupert offers to resign from Venturer as it won't look good for the franchise application. Declan won't hear of it.
Eventually they are all invited to the IBA in Brompton Rd to hear whether their franchise bids are successful. Declan doesn't even open the envelope as he assumes the memoirs and Tony's dirty tricks and lies about how he'll improve Corinium have worked. Tony has booked a hotel suite overflowing with Champagne in anticipation of a victory. Venturer win.
Rupert declares his love for Taggie, which has been simmering, and Declan, who by now is a big fan and friend of Rupert, asks the Bishop of Cotchester to marry them in Cotchester cathedral (without telling him at first who the groom is).
The end! <takes a bow>
What did I miss?
