Well, in the book the same fight happens but at Hamilton terrace and Cameron flees to Rupert and Tony is DEFINITELY ok.

So many hints that they may introduce Polo before completing Riders.

The information about Perdita that Declan burns (how did he discover that and does anyone else know?)

Bas at the Franchise meeting shouting that they will show polo matches.

Alderton Airlines - might just be an inside joke but I wondered whether it was a hint.

And obviously the Big Question - do we assume Tony is dead. If so would they bring in Bart as the Baddie?

Yes I know - had read the book at least 10 times lol. Also in the book the attack was much more a brutal assault on CC was it not, without her having the opportunity to defend herself

I was mentally preparing myself for the assault that happens in the book but did not see it playing out like that. He looked dead but surely he can't be? Really hoping Disney make the rest of the book and Polo too.

I think he must be alive- otherwise they needed to finish with Venturer winning the franchise and then continuing to Polo without Tony. Weird to have the battle for the franchise without him.

He did look bad but scalps do bleed heavily...

I don't want to spoil Polo for anyone but I wondered if they might have to skate over some of the start of Polo anyway. Ricky isn't altogether sympathetic in the first chapters. It's quite dark.

Hurrah a place to openly discuss the ending, I was trying to talk in code in the other thread.

I remember the fight and Cameron fleeing to Penscombe, it was the head blow and what looked like a potential death of Tony that surprised me.

I wondered whether they did this as a cliffhanger or an option to write Tony out and play with the storyline if David Tennant doesn’t want to return, they could chop out some of the rivals ending (which would be sad ) and move it on to Polo.

I do think they need to see it through with Maud getting together with Tony and Declan with Cameron, who then ultimately ends up with Patrick. Would also be nice the see the bits where Taggie gets to know Tabitha and Marcus. We never saw Janet and Billy either who come back to help Venturer.

It really does hinge on whether Tony is dead - would that mean Cameron is charged? If he survives how do they explain the smack on the head?!

If Tony is dead I wondered if they could have Bart buying Corinium.

If I were adapting Polo I'd start the story when Chessie sets Ricky the three 'labours'. And have Perdita working at his yard. Bas can get wind of Ricky's challenge and suggest they film it.

Simultaneously they could have Rupert living with Cameron but lusting after Taggie. Fred and Lizzie. Declan moping.

And then there is Sarah's baby!

I’d love if they wove the second half of Rivals and Polo together. That would be some second season!

Just finished it (haven't read the books). Wow. I want to watch it all again. That was brilliant. Has anyone else not managed to find a single other person in real life who's been watching it? I have been asking everyone I've met since Friday and not a single person has seen it.

I wasn't expecting the cliffhanger - do we know if they're making a series 2?? Had they televised ones in the series before this I need to catch up on?

Was all very bizarre and a lot of sex!
