Greys anatomy season 21

Episode 1 is on Disney. A bit beihind the US so I'm avoiding googling! Anyone else watching?

I had to rewatch the end of season 20 to remind myself what was happing.

Most of the men were walking red flags tbh - they all thought they knew what was best, used their positions at work to control and manipulate and sulked when they didn't get their own way!

The actors don't really seem to have their heart in it anymore do they? And the interns I can't remember whose who they don't have their identities and I'm not bonded with them.

Bit disappointed but like pp I'm a completist and can't not watch them 😂

I quite like the new interns and jo and linc but the rest are so boring now. It’s really hasn’t been great since around season 14 but I think the last couple of seasons have been slightly better it probably does need to end tho.

Ah, OK. Didn't it used to he Thursdays? Thursday is my DH's night out after work, and it's always been Grey's Anatomy night for me! Maybe I've always been a week behind and not realised.

Having watched the first two episodes released so far.... honestly, I think Greys is now more soap opera than medical drama.

That bloody mountain road... if there are doctors in a car going over that road on the way to save some other patient... there WILL be a disaster or a catastrophe and they WILL find themselves having to stop for some crisis.

I can suspend disbelief with the best of them but Greys just takes it to a whole new, completely ridiculous level. And more than anything, it just suggests that the writers are just out of ideas. That's it. They've done it all.

Did anyone notice in one of the episodes there was a lost surgical sponge and it turned up on someone’s shoe? Think they recycled that story as I’m sure that happened to Bailey back in the day. I mean I know there have been lots of episodes but you’d think someone would’ve noticed.

I'm not really enjoying the new episodes so far.
And yes, they used to come out on Thursdays here in the U.K.

Teddy and Owen's open marriage storyline made me uncomfortable and I think it was unnecessary for the programme.

And yes, the new interns arent really doing it for me either.

Wow yes! I thought it was good. All along I was expecting "something" (like when the couple are in the cupboard I wondered what they'd come out to see..) but I was not expecting THAT.
Really enjoyed it having thought I was going through the motions a bit with Greys earlier in the season.

I am feeling really sad for the Owen and Teddy storyline though.

I just watched the finale. I enjoyed it. Had real vibes of Alex Karev running when they found out about the bomb in the body cavity (of course Alex got there in time, because he’s the best, and would never do anything like let the hospital blow up).

I feel like maybe that OR wasn’t where Linc was, because then he’d just obviously be dead rather than maybe/probably. Maybe he was a few rooms down.
Hopefully Owen has finally been put out of his misery. But then we’ll have to endure guilt-ridden Teddy

That guy she slept with being a new intern is such a stereotypical greys thing to do though.

Just watched it tonight. So good. Agree about the Karev vibes as Adams ran through the hospital!

So pleased Teddy finally saw the light with Owen.

Hope we are seeing Meredith more next season, unless that’s a way of saying you’ll get her for a batch of episodes then nothing. Which would be a shame as every other episode was making it feel like she was there more. But getting her back in the OR is good - hopefully seeing her teach! Maybe she’ll take one of the new interns under her wing.

Roll on 22 so we can find out who survived!

Yes i think it’s the third or fourth time they did the slept with a intern

Ive been rewatching from the beginning and am on S16 now, where Teddy and Owen have just had a baby and gotten engaged. Owen is just awful - he moves in whichever direction the wind is blowing. One minute he's telling Amelia he loves her, then going off to Germany to declare undying love to Teddy, straight from Amelia's bed. Then back to Amelia (with a side shag of Carina) to play happy families with the foster children. Then Teddy turns up pregnant and he's still flip flopping around until Amelia decides for him!
Teddy definitely isn't 'love of his life', more of a convenient friend! She should have married Koracic!

Am also reaching the point where Karev's character is totally betrayed and written out in the most unrealistic way imaginable. Would love to know what really went on there!
