Like others I wonder what we aren’t seeing re fluffy-hair-comb-it-to-the-front-no-one-will-notice seething Simon and Hannah. All he’s done is make everyone speculate about the secret 🤔
If it’s really so huge and potentially damaging why tell an almost stranger? Also he can’t divulge her off camera stuff and not expect her to be angry and pissed off. I don’t condone her threatening to divulge his secret - if that’s what she did - but he is thoroughly unlikeable and almost sinister. He troubles me.

Also Richelle - what’s happening that we aren’t seeing?! She comes across as really aggressive, insulting and offensive. Why is she so sceptical? I’m not getting it. So what if Orson is an actor - they are all on a reality TV show. What did she think she was getting into?!

Holly is far too vulnerable to be on this show. Alex is really concerning - I hate his death stare and constant over reaction. I agree that it begs the question of steroid abuse. He has an alarmingly short fuse. Not exactly step parent material 😳

Emma is like something from a 70s dinner party - she’s giving Abigail’s party. That inane rictus grin. Caspar was an ass on the honeymoon but she needs to let it go and take the advice to let the county set mask slip and get real.

Polly is terrifying and a shit stirrer. Her and her boy band bf would be crossed at your peril. I suspect revenge for them would definitely be served cold. Be afraid Adam….

SilentSheldon · 15/10/2024 17:38

I’m not sure he revealed anything about her though. Apart from her taking a fizzy about not wanting to eat and go out on the pop instead?

He’s a grade a muppet for divulging stuff to her that he didn’t want repeated.

Despite her protestations, there was a tacit threat to repeat it.

She’s a knob. He’s a knob. And an overly angry one at that.

I’m still a bit eyebrows over Ryan. His body language was weird on the sofa last night. He was saying the right thing but it didn’t sound believable.

The more I see the clip of what she said, the more it comes across to me as a different way of saying 'how would you like it if I said things you'd said?'. It's not a serious threat to my eyes, and his reaction is off the scale.

gonnabeteoubleemma · 15/10/2024 14:18

I don't think anyone uses it like this though.

For some reason we allow 'idiot' still even though that's a medical term too.

Words and language evolve.

I don't want to run out of decent insults! Life is boring enough

Some people are deeply uncomfortable with idiot.

Doubleraspberry · 15/10/2024 17:45

Some people are deeply uncomfortable with idiot.

We do still need some words to describe this shower though!

Unless we start making them up Jabberwocky style, we have to go with what we have.

gonnabeteoubleemma · 15/10/2024 17:53

What took me aback was Rochelle's tone and the proportionality when she said it. Cretin is a stronger insult than 'idiot', maybe by virtue of just being less frequently used but she also almost spat it. Their relationship is the strangest I think I've ever seen on there. I don't think she's completely delusional and something has been said or done to worry her (whether or not justified) but we've no idea what!!

I agree completely, she absolutely hates him!

gonnabeteoubleemma · 15/10/2024 17:54

Some people are deeply uncomfortable with idiot.

Some people will always find something to be uncomfortable about.

Anyway, back to MAFS.

SilentSheldon · 15/10/2024 17:57

With the strop she was having at the time? She was a baw hair away from it.

If she truly didn’t even dream of repeating it, then that wouldn’t have been said.

Yes, his ongoing anger is disproportionate but his reaction at the time was fair enough. I think they’d already had a huge barney off camera that was merely icing.

I don’t care for either of them - but I think she’s well acquainted with pushing buttons.
When she says she’s a lot? I believe her.

Bloody autocorrect is nipping my heid.

I feel it's right to be suspicious of anyone who has questionably modified their face to within an inch of its life.

I don't know what Ryan has had done and it's nowhere near the Ming matriarch level. However, his face looks like it has been plucked, peeled or stretched into oblivion, like a piece of cling film suckered over his skull. This immediately set off something within me at a visceral level.

I can get these things wrong and am still feeling unsure about the severity of Stephen 4kids' duplicity here so will try watch with an open mind!

I'm confused about Orson tbh. I can't decide how I feel.

SilentSheldon · 15/10/2024 18:11

I don’t know why Stephen continues to be so furious.

I honestly haven’t seen Orson do anything to justify the response he is getting from Richelle.

Both Richelle and Stephen are really fuming. Either they have anger issues that would fear you or something is happening that we have not been privy to.

I can get why Hannah could provoke that kind of reaction. I’m not sure about Orson. But we haven’t seen that much of him.

Who knows? We are probably bigger puppets than they are!

Villagetoraiseachild · 15/10/2024 18:11

I reckon the word Shitlid will make it into the next edition of the more forward thinking dictionaries because it describes a whole generation of deeply unattractive haircuts.

I think the key to Orson might be that exchange where Richelle complains he knows very little about her, which would normally lead to a little awareness and then asking more questions and getting to know her.
Orson swerved that opportunity and asked Richelle how she felt about HIM.
So, he presents well, speaks well, wears cute specs etc but maybe Orson is all about Orson and this is just his audition tape for a better job. Time will tell.

gonnabeteoubleemma · 15/10/2024 18:12

I don’t know why Stephen continues to be so furious.

I think he's adopted his children. He said something about it being the most special thing he's done etc

SilentSheldon · 15/10/2024 18:18

I doubt we will ever know - if it is to do with the kids.

He won’t share.

I hope she won’t.

Anyway, back to MAFS.

Well, that’s a point of view. But it’s not accurate to say that ‘idiot’ is fine, because plenty of people would disagree. Avoiding using words that have been used to stigmatise people with learning disabilities for generations as insults is a decent thing to do.

Tittat50 · 15/10/2024 18:29

@Villagetoraiseachild this hideous Shitlid look actually has a name. I cannot recall the actual name of it atm, some type of ' fade'.

I know this as my teen son named this particular hairstyle as something he would like, I looked it up online and was presented with multiple Shitlids smiling at me.

' Dear God, that's a Shitlid; no way' I protested .

He didn't understand what I was saying. In time, I hope that 'Shitlid' will become the more apt vernacular for this atrocity.

gonnabeteoubleemma · 15/10/2024 18:32

Language changes and evolves.

I always think about the intent behind the words before getting offended.

I imagine it's just another thing for the ex to despair over with regards to Shitlid4kids ( also known as Stephen).

He's already living miles away and therefore unavailable to help relieve the load of day to day drudgery. And then he comes on MAFS and has a heart to heart with a screeching motor mouth.

Doubleraspberry · 15/10/2024 18:38

Fair enough.

As I said, I just wanted to say that ‘idiot’ does upset some people and I personally avoid using any of these terms as insults.

Tittat50 · 15/10/2024 19:28

Alex saying, if you do x and y it's ' gonna be a madness'

He's threatening her to never openly challenge him basically.

This guy and his accompanying forehead are a complete horror show.

I can feel my soul dying every time I read a DM article.

I used to have the DM app and would read it daily with the accompanying comments. It was like some form of self harm.

I'm the antithesis of what the DM represents so don't know why I did it to myself.
