Also just re- winding here. At the dinner party Polly said watch out Adam, referring to a new woman entering party.
Polly was making out that Adam would be fancied by these other women as if he’s a real catch ! I don’t think the other team wives fancy Adam !

It’s clear Alex and Holly are toxic with eachother. He gives that stare and is generally angry whilst she constantly adds fuel to the fire. I’m not condoning Alex’s behaviour but Holly doesn’t know when to stop.If someone is angry don’t carry on arguing, going round in circles.’

Im surprised Alex is in the RAF. He seems far to hot headed. How does he cope with the discipline in the RAF? He must take orders from people?

Alex reminds me very much of some clients I have encountered who are controlling and gaslighting to their partners. They look good on paper until their missus starts showing some opinions and needing something from them that is more than they are prepared to give. I actually think Alex is the most scary of all the males on the show. He demonstrates real cold control of his behaviour and his speech and he is extremely threatening.

Holly is so vulnerable and I think the ixperts have been so negligent in allowing this domestic abuse to continue. I know it is a ratings winner but it feeds this dismissive narrative which suggests she is a whinging, needy woman.

Alex takes orders from men in the RAF, I think that's the difference.

I tried to walk away, but I got sucked back in.

A very revealing moment for me with Alex was with the in-laws visit. There was a moment when he flipped instantly into very aggressively disagreeing with Holly and the whole table - Holly, his Mum, Holly's best friend - all made a massive effort to mollify him and defuse the bomb of his anger that was about to go off. They were all terrified of him.

I noticed this. Polly's delusion is unmatched. No one is going to be sliding over to Shitlid, I'm sure of that.

Polly would be the type to scratch the eyes out of a girl even if her ' man' was the one doing all the pursuing. It would never be his fault but the fault of these devious vixens who have designs on her ' fella'.

Polly needs a world of therapy.

His mum must know him well enough to know this was a terrible idea. Although appreciate she won't be able to control a full grown adult , especially if he has gone AWOL from his duties ( if that's true), he won't listen to what mummy says.

Holly is incredibly irritating, yet she is alot of mouth and it isn't fair to pair her up with someone who I believe would always have the upper hand with her emotionally. He is very manipulative and scary. She's easily pleased and has such an appalling dating history it seems that she's prime fodder for people like Alex.
I do think people need to respect when someone says please I don't want to talk about this now. Demanding a discussion and immediate resolution doesn't work for everyone so I think she needs to learn when to give other people space. However, I don't like Alex and the way he communicates with her. He is controlling and very volatile I believe.

I've known many a service person who might be used to taking orders on the job but is an absolutely unhinged, unable to regulate, misogynistic nut job outside of their daily duties. ( Of course there are also some decent people in said professions).

Anyone else noticed how much work some of the ladies have had done? Amy, Sasha and Shannon - lip fillers or pouts seem so over done or is it just me?

I’ll never understand Polly chasing Shitlid - he’s no catch and she’s just coming across as desparate. Hes been honest from the start, as has Caspar so why keep on pushing and pushing if they’ve said how they feel?

hate new girl Hannah - she’s awful and so self obsessed

SabreIsMyFave · 13/10/2024 11:23

I really REALLY don't like Hannah. She is horrible. But her new husband (can't remember his name) is pretty awful too. They seem to hate each other. They should bail now.

Amy and Gaston are OK, but Amy (like some of the other women) has spoiled herself with bloody fillers and botox! I know I go on about it sorry, but it just jars me that young women feel the need to ruin their face.

As for Caspar and Emma. Yeah, I am also bored with the 'Caspar, why don't you fancy meeeeeeeee?' cries! He is never going to fancy Emma. She is attractive and she is cute, and some men will fancy her - but Caspar doesn't. He can't force it.

Time for them all to stop getting at Caspar. They need to throw in the towel Also, as a pp said, whilst Emma is cute, she does seem a bit middle aged before her time. She's 31 isn't she? And when I first saw her I would have guessed 40-42. She just looks a bit 'frumpy.'

Also, as a pp asked, why did Sacha leave? She was fine when they all came in!

Feel sorry for Holly. Alex is fucking vile. She needs to bail. ASAP.

Richelle pisses me off, and she and her husband (Orson?) need to throw in the towel too.

Polly, talking about her and shitlid shagging put me off my supper. 😖No-one wanted to hear that. As someone said earlier, he is only doing this to stay on the show. Pretending he likes her. Some men will shag a corpse. It wouldn't have been too problematic for him to shag her even if she does nothing for him.

I like Lacey a lot, and think she is gorgeous. Certainly NOT the less attractive twin! (They are both lovely!) Nathan is kinda cute too!

Cross post! Glad it's not just me who is sick of seeing botox and collagen filled faces!

Did you see Sacha's mum and dad?! 😱

And yep, Hannah = vile.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/10/2024 11:41

Hopefully Emma/Caspar and Richelle/Orson will go tomorrow. I think they'll make Hannah and 4kidz stay.

Italiangreyhound · 13/10/2024 12:00

I don't think they get the chance to leave on their first commitment ceremony.

I’m so glad you added the bracket bits @Tittat50 I’m hoping I squeeze into those brackets - although I confess I have other traits that have followed me…

If it helps, I haven’t met many men as bad as Alex. Promise. And the men I worked with wouldn’t have tolerated that shite.

Late to the threads.

Is it just me or is Emma cosplaying as a 40 year old Tory councillor’s wife? I’m the same age and find her styling to be REALLY mature. Not only her hair and styling but her entire vibe! And that’s coming from a grammar school girl from Berkshire who has met my fair share of posh totty

Tittat50 · 13/10/2024 14:36

@SilentSheldon I come from a service family so know there are great people. Also lived in a ' services heavy' city growing up and we experienced some terrible and scary behaviours as young women on occasions. Good and bad everywhere tho!

Mcginty57 · 13/10/2024 15:00

Just catching up on the Dinner Party. Alex really was flirting with the new woman openly. He's actually quite intimidating when he's angry, red flags everywhere. Richelle is an absolute, nasty bitch. What is her problem. I think her problem is she thinks any guy she's with isn't good enough for her. Hope she goes tomoro as I can't stand to see her anymore. Curious about Sasha leaving as she seemed well enough when they were getting ready and when they arrived. Wonder if she felt threatened by the new girls.

JellyBeanFactory · 13/10/2024 15:04

Do we know Alex is a serviceman? I thought in his intro he just said he worked in aviation. I'd have thought Holly would have liked it if he was a man of uniform and said so! !

SilentSheldon · 13/10/2024 15:15

I don’t think he is, not any more.

Yes. He was in the RAF but I read he's been sacked for taking unauthorised time off to go on mafs.

That's what I thought although I guess we might have missed the RAF bit.

MouseMinge · 13/10/2024 15:25

I think MAFS need to really think about what they consider entertaining. Yes, we're all nasty little freaks who want some drama in this sort of reality show but when that drama edges into controlling, manipulative, gaslighting behaviour that needs to be shut down. It would also be helpful if there were fewer couples who think that doing all of the sex is a sign of a great relationship. Obviously I'm not suggesting no sex but it does seem that the couples getting on the best are the ones who aren't all about the sex and are taking it a bit more slowly or just not announcing that they've done it again and again.

menopausalfart · 13/10/2024 15:47

The steps to a healthy relationship, no matter how toxic one might be, Sex toys, hugging for 30 minutes, rating your friends on their looks, honesty box that's full of questions you already know the answers to.

Paul2023 · 13/10/2024 15:51

I don’t understand the reasoning for Rishelle ( don’t know how she spells it) for going on the show. She’s very picky, withdrawn, cold and unsympathetic .I don’t think anyone they’d have put her with would have cut the mustard.

She couldn’t understand why Orson was upset about his break up five year ago, yet he only mentioned it once. She kept going on about it and saying it was him who wouldn’t let it go.

Is Rishelle a manager at work to anyone I wonder? I’d imagine she would be a terrible person to work under.

I can imagine that if someone’s entire family had died in a house fire five years ago and wanted the day off on the anniversary , she would be shocked they weren’t over it.

“What? Your family died 5 years ago and you’re still not over it ? Get a grip”.

I can see that behaviour from her.

Arche · 13/10/2024 16:04

Richelle is awful. Orson seems harmless but she gets a weird kick out of constantly putting him down and questioning his intentions. We’ve not seen her be likeable once herself

I agree he’s got an aggressiveness about him. Reminds me of my abusive father. You can see his blood just boiling under the surface. Very unnerving

menopausalfart · 13/10/2024 16:28

@Arche Same. Whenever I see or am around someone with anger issues, my shoulders and neck immediately tense up and my breathing becomes shallow. It's crazy that I still get like this all these years later.
