I believe some kind if engineer as he said smt about his job is so important people can die of he doesn't do it properly. But kept it for himself to look like he's an actually pilot big shot

I can understand wanting to give it another week after going through the whole shebang, no problem with that, just Holly's use of her children to support any argument.

Suppose there are a lot of jobs in aviation engineering on the ground which could be dangerous if buggered up and there is a failure to catch the error. Doesn't necessarily mean he's claiming to be anything fancy (I didn't see what was said).

He was in the RAF at the time of the show and went AWOL to go on the programme. They then sacked him.

Can I just check with everyone that Caspar "you're fucking with my life" is the same as the one that voluntarily applied for the show and hasn't been replaced by someone who was kidnapped and forced to do this against his will? 🤔

He says that he basically wants the complete opposite of his sister; someone attractive, petite, brunette and a little more reserved? Does anyone else think that Paul's 'reason' for matching Emma and Ross was the most random and worst 'reason' they've ever heard?

I kind of feel sorry for Casper. It seems like he went on the show for genuine reasons (has he not watched it before?!?) and really can't see what they have in common aside from being 'posh'. She IS really annoying, probably made more annoying by some of the things he said. They are clearly never going to work because they don't even like each other. I think the comment about ruining his life was telling. He feels like they've been paired up for entertainment purposes which he feels is unfair.

I think there's a difference between the ones that have had long term partners in the past and been hurt and the ones that have never found anyone special.

I would imagine the ixperts need to find partners that have different personalities traits to previous loves and reduce the expectations of the other group.

I agree that I think Casper has found himself in the wrong place. And has been matched with someone that just grates on him. It is entirely ok to not fancy someone on first meeting or even thereafter. They can’t help that. But I guess that’s the premise of the show. But what he should have done is asked to leave at this point. I am really not sure why he didn’t.

Urgh, some of the post are plain nasty. I was enjoying this thread but I really don't like how downright cruel some of the posters are.

Can't recall who seems to think Holly looks 50ish. Sure, she looks older than her years - more like mid/late 30s. But you're being plain nasty, not to mention ridiculous if you think she looks 50+. Time to get your eyes tested.

Edited to add that reading this thread, the producers must be thrilled as it's getting exactly the kind of reaction they hoped, and why they cast it the way they did. As a result, I have no doubt next year's will be even trashier/more argumentative.

I must say that some of the stuff written here I then see pretty much word for word appear on Facebook from a mafs page, coincidence or this is being monitored to see public reaction.

I've been watching this show since the first UK series, but I think I've only kept watching because I'm hoping it's going to change. But, like Polly, I should recognise that they're not going to change the way I want them to, and I should bail out.

I agree with this and think it's possible Caspar hasn't seen much mafs. He's the only one that barely has an instagram presence which is unheard of for a mafs participant- I think he's real.
Not a fan of Emma's bombastic personality and I don't think she's very attractive- superficial I know but there seems to be a pressure to call any "curvy girl" gorgeous! I'm not a size fascist- I actually think Polly's genuinely attractive, far more so than Shitlid.

I suspect producers have convinced him and others to stay in. Richelle coming back and saying she likes poor Orson is a bit ridiculous. She hates the whole thing but has either been bribed to return or there's some clause in her contract. That will all unravel before long.

I suspect if they walk other than in a mutual agreement to leave they don’t get paid. It’s the only conceivable reason for Caspar and several others to hang on.

I completely agree. It does seem like they have just put the “posh” two together, everything they mentioned about personality types didn’t really make sense & I could sense how angry Casper is about his match, which to me shows, he was in it for the right reasons, but didn’t expect to be paired with someone who looks like his twin sister.

I genuinely think they should let the couples recouple with someone else as there’s just so many unmatched pairings this year, or just let them leave. This season they’ve messed up with most pairings in my opinion.
