I'd find Charlie exhausting and I'd be checking out v quickly if I'd been matched with someone like her. Alex has a look of OJ Simpson.

I find Eve pretty exhausting

Always on a downer

Ha! On my local area website/app there was a tarantula happily chilling on a wall, we arevall
assuming it’s an escaped pet but can you imagine if you got home, about to put key in door and a hairy bugger like that was staring at you, in the heart of London at that, not even some warm sunny overseas country 😩

😳😳😳 eek! Years ago a monster one tried to get in through my catflap. Traumatised!

oreo2024 · 26/09/2024 22:32

I find Alex and Eve borderline dangerous... a shame Holly made Alex stay.

Stickytoffeepudding6 · 26/09/2024 22:32

Alex and Holly should go. He's immature and she's bit irate.

AndThereSheGoes · 26/09/2024 22:32

hoxtonbabe · 26/09/2024 22:21

people are hating on Alex but he saw it for what it was and wanted to leave, and given how bad they are for each other that is 100% the correct decision. At least he has some sense.

Agreed.
I know Alex has a some sort of backstory ( not looked it up) but Holly seems to be the one to massively overreact to everything with anger. Ideally someone with a good sense of humour could defend themselves but it's tricky for a stranger to deal with that level of aggression.

Which ones Eve?

Not looking hopeful tbh

Charlie's victim, I mean wife.

I was surprised the ixperts honed in on Alex despite Holly refusing to let him speak and talk so aggressively at him without pause.

True. While more men tend to be shits than the women, the women are rarely called out on it when they are. They should be.

burnoutbabe · 25/09/2024 09:11

In the uk one now they do not marry.

But they did in the first few, you saw them go to the registrar and learning their partners names.

USA they marry (generally only 3 or 4 couples per season)

Yes it used to be a bit more like a documentary than a reality show then didn't it?

She’s just rough and rude, no point sugar coating it.

When he said in the real world she’d be ghosted by now I said too right, nothing immature about that and as a 49 year old woman I would be doing exactly the same, he just doesn’t want to hang around wasting his time with someone that’s an aggressive, manipulative embarrassment.

I probably shouldn't be saying this as a woman, but, I find that on this show, women get to get away with shitty behaviour a lot more than men. They turn on waterworks and suddenly everything is the big, bad, man's fault. Whereas I believe that all shitty, toxic behaviour should be called out equally.

He's awful though, he should have just apologised for the comment, his ego refused to back down. He did make it so much worse, you can see she's very fragile. He's also got a massive back story (google him), he pretended to be a pilot in the intro on the show itself (cringe), then ended up in MCTC (again google that)...

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 26/09/2024 22:44

I'm not able to watch until the following morning but thanks everyone for the details tonight while you watch.

It sounds utterly dreadful... I can't wait.

Waterboatlass · 26/09/2024 22:52

I was hoping Caspar would say leave and show total integrity.

Emma is showing manipulation and entitlement. Caspar didn't say what she said from we saw.

I'm not petite and it isn't nice to be told someone prefers slimmer due to value judgements associated with weight etc but I don't get why she is that bothered. He's allowed a preference and didn't lead her on.

If it was a date they simply wouldn't have met again and he explained that a) he was reminded of his sister and b) she wasn't his type anyway (when she kept digging). Why take it so personally and be so pushy? It would be weird if he did find her sexy. if they drag this out it will be quite strange.

I was shouting at the screen have some self respect you idiot . She should have wrote leave I would respect her more. She had zero self esteem. It's hard to watch. I've been her when I was very young. Clinging on every word and remaining hopeful when it's obvs the guy is just not into you . He has been appalling and yet she stays . It's actually sad. That she is so desperate to put up with his shit.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 26/09/2024 23:01

I've not read the thread because I'm really behind and avoiding spoilers, but how has the guy with the dad bod just said he only fancies petite girls!!!
I find Emma irritating so far (perhaps over compensating because he's like a wet weekend) but he is not out of her league

Tittat50 · 26/09/2024 23:02

The limpet Polly situation is awful to watch. His body language is as if she's a growth coming out of him.

I wonder whether her ADHD impacts her in her self awareness. It's as if she doesn't realise even though he's telling her clearly in every single word and behaviour.

I didn’t realise what Holly was wearing until she walked over to the sofa, and paired with that odd choice of bag..

She looked like she holding what we call a "poo bag" - like a dog poo in a bag🤣anyone else notice that!!!

Ahhh that makes sense I forgot she has adhd. It's so obvious to everyone but her that he has the ick. Come on Polly have some self respect
