It’s very hard to get past the obvious factor that real relationship experts would set couples up with separate rooms and a series of honeymoon dates so they could hopefully feel some attraction building and decide for themselves when to share a bed. But, as we know, it’s a reality show for drama and entertainment, not real love matches.

Most comments are rightly saying how beautiful polly is and no mention of her fillers. The chat on here over the weekend has predominantly been comments on the men's appearance. I understand they are coming in retaliation to the men's comments in the show but it doesn't make them right

Last week Sacha's family and Lacey got a good roasting. It's supposed to be fun snark while we watch. I'm not going to feel sorry for those over entitled men any time soon I'm afraid.

It’s because the average looking men think they deserve supermodels. The average looking women don’t.

Also the mockery of the men is largely over aesthetic choices they have made- Turkey teeth and stupid haircuts. It’s a particular fashion among some young men (see also too many tattoos and very tight trousers. Many older women laugh at this look because it doesn’t look very appealing or masculine to us). I don’t think anyone has said any of the men are ugly- it’s more about them being vain fashion victims.

I expect if a bride came along with a stupid haircut we’d take the piss out of that too (especially if there were several of them with an identical stupid haircut).

I think we've been incredibly fair on the melted Waxwork men.
If plastic women were stipulating unrealistic standards and doing so in such a tasteless condescending way, they would get the same treatment.

People are entitled to feel how they do and not find someone attractive. They aren't quite handling it that way. They are grotesque.

I'm a newcomer to MAFS. Not sure I'll last till the end but binged the first 4 episodes this weekend. I do feel that the matches are a bit nebulous, they could put any two people together and justify it. Doesn't Eve also have that pudding bowl haircut, just wears it better than Adam? (Haven't seen the first thread if it was mentioned there.)

I also googled "best ever MAFS" and got directed to MAFS AUS season 6. Again not sure I will watch it all but it seems (slightly) less cruel (and less botoxed) than the UK version? Maybe simply that it was a few years ago?

They appeared to have paired Emma and Caspar because her friends say she's like Bridget Jones and he has a dog called Bridget.

S6 Au was the best ever. Who can ever forget Mike and Heidi or Jules and Cam? I absolutely loved it. Do stick with it, it’s fab.

I'm rather liking Mel and Dino! I think I like that most of them seem fairly decent people and not too vulnerable. Just seen up to the first dinner party so I'm hoping that retribution will play out eventually.

There's been plenty of criticism of the women this year and in the past. The most recent comments have been focused on hair and teeth because that's what stood out in the last couple of episodes.

The comments are better than the show.

Life turns dull and pointless over the weekend now.

If we were here saying that all the women were stunning beauties and all the men are fugly losers then maybe there'd be a point in the whole "It's unfair, two wrongs" etc, but that hasn't happened. Lacey was criticised, some female family members were criticised and the men who are being criticised are being laughed at for turkey teeth and Dwane Dibbly (thank you @AhBiscuits !) and the sort of attitude that you might just about accept if it came from a Brad Pitt or [insert name of rich and ridiculously handsome actor/celebrity who you totally would] but not from the likes of Adam who wants a Megan Fox when he's not even ... nope, I can't find a not so attractive actor who I would describe as a bit fugly because even if they're not hot they've got something. If someone told me Danny DiVito was ugly I'd suck my teeth very, very hard at them. The fact is these guys and especially Adam at the moment seem kind of ugly on the inside which is matched by the outside, so fugly, turkey toothed. Dwane Dibbly haired arseholes.

Other than that, nothing at all wrong with them.
