Didn't aus season 7 have a returned bride too? From season 6 who was cheated on?

Yes I have never seen that one either.

Yes, it was that lovely but completely mad Elizabeth. She found love with a guy called Sebastian in S7. I must have seen it on shvideos.

stonkytonk11 · 22/09/2024 13:11

I'm on episode 4 of MAFS UK...does it get better? I can see no real matches so far. Why are a lot of the men fake?? And not v bright? A rough bunch this time...

They are running out of Instagram profiles.
Plus, it's been in fashion for a while to look like a wanker pound shop Connor McGregor

The fashion can never die you see, cos they are stuck with the Tatts and Turkey Teeth FOREVER.

martinisforeveryone · 22/09/2024 14:04

'Pound Shop Connor McGregor' 😂

That's the best laugh I've had since the wish list of a Michelle Keegan or Meghan Fox.

Talk about the Magic Mirror Gang.

The men this series seem particularly deluded and the women are highlighting insecurities, what a match.

MouseMinge · 22/09/2024 20:05

To be fair to Adam and his "she must be attractive blah, blah, blah" if I was a bride on the show and walked up the aisle to see him I'd probably do a bit of sick in my mouth, so you know ... etc.

He's this season's JJ but with slightly more personality which is saying very little about any personality he thinks he's got. His hair? When you go to the barbers do you have to ask to look like a medieval knight to get that haircut? Or a monk but without the bald bit in the middle.

RareLemur · 22/09/2024 20:18

Am I an old foggy that is horrendously out of touch, but they keep insisting they want "nice teeth" but then (mostly) seem to have the really fake looking "Turkey teeth" which look like a bad set of dentures and have properly fucked up their natural teeth. Also, I think that the haircuts are bad (for the men) and there's a lot of filler and botox going on.
Clown boy and Reiki sheep healer seem to be getting on so far despite the horrendous wedding "jokes". She seem more calm on honeymoon than in the hen night and wedding.
At the beginning, I thought that maybe Nathan's nerves were getting the best of him. But maybe he's just not that intelligent, he doesn't seem to remember important things that she tells him (like the reason she doesn't drive), doesn't seem to be able to communicate well, doesn't know what to say, just seems to say "oh ok" or "it's my adhd" to shut her up.
Emma and Caspar have no chance, he has the major ick. He isn't going to come around and want to have sex with a look a like of his sister that he can't stand. I don't think it has anything to do with her size.
Eve and Charley cannot communicate without fighting. It's hard without seeing the fight who is at fault, probably both. Charley needs to calm down and realise she is making her wife uncomfortable by going so fast, she also needs to respect boundaries. Eve needs to communicate her needs better, because currently she is blowing hot and cold and giving mixed messages
I am confused by the definition of "celibacy" that Sacha uses, it sounds like it means that she doesn't have sex outside of a relationship which to me isn't being celibate. I don't understand why she can't tell that she doesn't want to be intimate until she is sure of the relationship lasting without wrapping it up in being "celibate", traditional and not wanting to make her family uncomfortable.

The men's haircuts are horrific and when they are accompanied by an over-tanned face and Turkey teeth... honestly I would run so fast down that aisle you'd think there'd been a hurricane.

Have you seen the Aussie ones? FAR more drama!

Approximately 80% of the posts since 9pm on Thursday have been about teeth and/or hair!

To be fair, so far, they're the most memorable things!

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/09/2024 21:54

I wasn't complaining 😁

stonkytonk11 · 22/09/2024 21:55

I laughed at how often Sasha mentioned that she was very traditional...yeah, getting married to a complete stranger is so very traditional 😂

69pbiryani · 22/09/2024 22:01

K+K good value entertainment. He is a bit creepy and I bet her moods are something else.
Eve and Charlie. Scary to watch. Both way too intense.
Lacey and Nathan. Just in it for the Instagram likes. He comes across as very thick.
Emma and Caspar. How embarrassing. He is never going to fancy her because she is like his sister. Both 'curvy'. Both attractive. Both annoying.
Sasha and Ross. Seem ok. Funny she thinks not sleeping around means celibate.
Polly and Barber. He seems to be lacking in looks and personality, while she is stunningly beautiful and so far seems nice and normal.

YoniHuman · 22/09/2024 22:08

I'm already feeling sorry for the bride tomorrow with 2 children, whose groom says his preference is for someone without kids. She asked for a husband, she doesn't need a third child to placate. Really hope she's just doing this for the exposure and money making opportunities

BIossomtoes · 22/09/2024 22:10

I really don’t understand why anyone with children would contemplate getting involved with this.

Pieandchips999 · 22/09/2024 22:56

I've been poorly and wiped out on the sofa twice watching the last two episodes (which my wife is not impressed about 🤣). I now feel like I had a fever dream on which Caspar and Emma were making goo eyes at each other. Was this a preview or was it pure delirium? And why are you only allowed to be a barber if you have really really shit hair?? Also laughing about the debate regarding whether Alfie is gay. Yes. Very very gay and a good friend I think he was blunt with it and is over protective but also seems incredibly smart. I wish Emma had an Alfie

MounjaroUser · 22/09/2024 22:56

I don't think anyone with children (unless the children are adults) should be allowed on the programme. The potential for utter disaster is huge and I don't think it's healthy to leave the kids for several weeks just because you want to be a reality "star".

Great post!

HelpMebeok · 23/09/2024 00:04

i can only see K and K going forward so far. They seem to like each other and be potentially well matched. Maybe the 'celibate' one and her husband (Ross?) if she can relax a bit.
Emma and Casper work on paper I think but not in RL.
I feel sorry for Polly. She is far more attractive than the Cretin she married and he feels he's far above her !

Catlord · 23/09/2024 08:02

The clip of the 'experts" trashing Polly's looks was arseholeish. 'if Adam can see past looks' etc. She's very attractive, just not his type and he's made clear he has an immature and prescriptive approach to 'types'. This isn't quantitative. She isn't plain.

At least men in these cases seem to stick to their guns re sex (JJ and Bianca, Kwame) whereas Morag slept with Luke despite having no attraction to him which was an awkward thing to do for both. It's just a nasty trope and I think should be retired. If people are that hung up on looks, either give them roughly what they want or leave them out and go for more rounded partners.

In principle people with children are better suited for the concept - they want to find someone with commitment, and they don't have the spare time to spend dating and working out who is worth continuing a relationship with.

So having someone match you with someone compatible who wants to commit to a life-long relationship should be ideal.

Catlord · 23/09/2024 08:52

They must see their child regularly during the time though?

If it was a programme serious about helping people find a compatible life partner you might be right but it’s not, it’s a game show with a cast of grotesques.

MagpiePi · 23/09/2024 11:16

I think the Ross/Sasha pairing is doomed if she can't say out loud that she doesn't want to share a bed with him on the first night but is just expecting him to suggest he'll sleep on the sofa. I hope she is not going to expect him to be a mind reader about all her 'traditional' values.

BTW I do think there is a bit of a double standard going on here where everyone is (justifiably IMO) having a go at the men because of their very average looks and dickhead personalities, but no one is allowed to make any criticism of any of the women's looks or personalities.
