She can't be the only receptionist in Letherbridge!

TheBeardedClown · 26/09/2024 14:10

FFS will someone please tell Scarlett to stop slouching! So unprofessional to be eating at her desk like that too.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:11

No- don't let the mother check his file!

Oh dear Scarlett.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:13

There's been a theme of pushy mothers recently.

Misthios · 26/09/2024 14:13

I'd rather have Paige or Kirsty back. Ideally Valerie or Karen, but I think those ships have sailed.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:16

I thought Rosie was retiring. She was supposed to be retiring from Sutton Vale, and that was years ago.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:19

Part time job? Drug dealer.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:21

Do we really need Rosie's whole family, just as the show is ending?I'd rather they concentrated on the characters they have!

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:23

Emma!!

She won't put up with Graham. At least , I hope she won't fancy him.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:28

it really is a bit late in the day to bring in a Rosie -back story. I just don't care.

Misthios · 26/09/2024 14:33

I am getting the impression they're just going to let the series fizzle out towards the end. It's like when they announced Daniel would be leaving, there was a whole storyline around Zara's stalker and they could have done something dramatic with him murdering Daniel, or Daniel being involved in a mysterious accident or something equally soap-worthy, but no, they came up with some stupid storyline around drunk driving.

It's going to be the same with the end of the whole thing, there's no building into some dramatic ending, it's just all very underwhelming.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:44

It's a bit annoying, it's almost like they are cutting their noses off- they could have a dramatic end- but they seem to be just drifting to the end.

I'd rather see the return of old characters (we need to see Eve a final time, Al's mum, before it finishes) than a bunch of new people I don't care about.

With Daniel, I think the actor left under a cloud, and they didn't want to give him a 'good' send off. So his leaving storyline was pretty rubbish.

Although-Rosie is 20 years older than Graham - and I bet she's a lot less old fashioned than he is.

She did look like she'd got dressed in the dark though 😁

I hadn't realised that she had a husband or child.

I'd like to see more fur fly between Emma and Graham. Do we think Zara's getting doubts about him, or does she need his £££ too much?

For me, the end's going to be The Mill taken over by a big group that Graham's working for and it'll fizzle out as no longer being The Mill and The Campus. All the medically qualified people will stay or get jobs elsewhere, that's not an issue. Rob will stick to his policing or fostering because his ties with The Mill will be done and dusted for good. Bear will probably get a promotion in the new group, Rosie can actually retire and start volunteering in a charity shop, lots of chat and cardigans to sort through and Scarlett, well, who knows. I don't think she's cut out to stick it as Lady Twinkle Toes though.

Raahh · 26/09/2024 14:49

I think Rosie having any kind of family is a very recent development Grin. When she worked at Sutton Vale , she was apparently another one who used to moon over the dead Doctor- I don't recall her 'husband' ever being mentioned then, much less a daughter and grandson.

Please let them bring Karen back from the dead!! Haunting the Mill, telling Rumha to keep her mitts off her man, and scaring Graham into an early early grave! I'd like to know what happened to Valerie - after what she was fired for, Letherbridge's foremost drug pin would be great, Blofeld style with a fluffy ginger cat.

Binglebong · 26/09/2024 17:01

It has been suggested Bear brought Rosie back to show everyone how Graham really behaves....

What was the cloud for the Daniel actor?

Raahh · 26/09/2024 17:19

Bingle there were rumours about the actor being an anti vaxxer and had various views on Covid- whether they were true or or not, I don't know- but he seems to have taken pains to deny that he wasn't forced to leave - but it did feel a bit abrupt when he did.

He didn't even get a dramatic ending - like dying in drink driving crash, to at least make his final storyline worth while. He just left- without even a send off at the Icon Grin

Raahh · 26/09/2024 17:20

I hope the really big twist is not that Rosie and Graham are related, because that will ruin everything Grin

Thank you.

With Zara staying it would be difficult to do something dramatic without affecting her and future storylines. I can't really see her as a weeping widow.

I’ve just hunted down his Twitter page, linked through other Doctors comments, and although his “@“ is his real name it seems he’s using Matt Blade rather than Chambers in his header.
Anyway…there’s a lot of retweeted anti-vax material on his page, although the latest tweet (from this evening) is about 5G masts.

Have just looked at his Twitter feed. What a loon.

Rosie said the surgery she had just left was dreadful with horrible people there. I wonder if this is the same surgery which Kirsty is going to. I also think that Graham knows this. What’s his game? He is a horrible character.

Yep, that seems to sum him up.

Ooh, good thought.
