Nice new thread for when the old one wears out.

So it looks like Felix really has become good. I like new Felix. I think it's been long overdue that the Rodwell family expands so I guess he will stick around.
I did have a crazy idea today that him and Terese might be a good pair in future. Terese and Felix reminds me a lot of Terese and Gary.
Feeling quite sad today at the imminent departure of Toadie!

Absolutely loved Remi and Cara slipping in the famous Neighbours' sig tune refrain (good Neighbours and good friends) with barely a snigger between them!

I loved this too!!

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 25/09/2024 07:33

@HoHoHoliday I like Felix too, I liked him before as well, he seems a different sort of energy / acting style. I can see he and Terese liking each other too... Will always ship Terese and Paul though so maybe he could just been an obstacle to them!

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 25/09/2024 07:35

Like others I'm feeling dissatisfied with the Toadie exit story. He's so unlikeable now and hasn't really had a redemption before leaving. I think someone on here said the actor was pleased about the mental health aspect of the story but I didn't think that had been portrayed at all really. It's not been explained in my opinion.

BareBelliedSneetch · 25/09/2024 07:55

Are we going to see a complete paranoid spiralling from Cara? Of Felix becomes more of a feature?

Smidge001 · 25/09/2024 08:17

I can't believe we've got yet ANOTHER hostage situation. It's so ridiculous. Maybe they need to bring back Mark to help Rodwell keep the streets clean.

Have no issues with Felix but can't see him with Therese. Paul and Therese all the way.

anotherlevel · 25/09/2024 08:39

Hostage situation??

Hostage situation??

Well yes, isn't that how it ended today? ...The bouncer bloke came into the pub and grabbed Holly saying he was going nowhere til he got his money? Then we saw susan being scared etc.

anotherlevel · 25/09/2024 20:45

@Smidge001 when I posted that it was in the morning and I hadn't yet watched today's episode.

I agree. It’s barely come across as a mental health issue and definitely not seem him suffering enough with it to empathise. Just all very rushed then brushed over.

@Smidge001 The crime rate has certainly gone up in the last year! It’s like they can’t think of any other types of plots other than criminal ones.

highdaysandholudays · 25/09/2024 21:47

The Toadie storyline went on for too long. I was annoyed at how Terese was bullied into seeing him off. Bloody Aaron at the party with Jane when he's supposed to be Dad of the year was annoying as well. Of course Nicolette couldn't go could she?

MiddleClassProblem · 25/09/2024 22:01

I also think Justin doesn’t look like a Justin.

BareBelliedSneetch · 26/09/2024 10:12

Lowly suburban cop becomes hostage negotiator extraordinaire!

will he now get head hunted by the fbi and move to the US?

Home and Away?

Re Felix, how old is he? Daughter is what, 21? Which makes parents 40ish. So Felix must be early 30s. Therese is 50odd. I'd think he's closer in age to her older kids / step kids.
So they can be close and she can mother him, but nothing more.

anotherlevel · 26/09/2024 10:19

Andrew is too laid back to be a cop!

No neighbours hostage guy!

Oooh I really enjoyed today's episode!!! 👏 looking forward to Monday! ☺️

anotherlevel · 26/09/2024 18:33

Why did none of the police think to check the exit in the staff kitchen!

MiddleClassProblem · 26/09/2024 20:35

What was the point of the floor plans? Why did Wendy shout Quinn? Why did Holly need to say it was in the potting bag as if it was the perfect explanation to Justin? Why did Susan shout “come out or he’s going to kill me?” when he was point the gun elsewhere? Why is Felix’s phone so slim but has perfect audio quality? Why did the police do absolutely nothing?

Why? Why? Why? I’m sure I have more…

MiddleClassProblem · 26/09/2024 20:48

Oh wait, why was Aaron so insistent one person run out when it would obviously put everyone else in danger? And why was his quiff so big?

anotherlevel · 26/09/2024 20:58

And why would Justin just allow Paul to call the police?

whatsyourusername · 26/09/2024 22:07

I really don't get the whole Wendy and Quinn hiding in the office bit. Surely they would have escaped or at least called for help. It just makes no sense at all unless they are having a full on affair and we just don't know yet!!
This scene in the waterhole was just bizarre and massively not needed!

Yes! I'm sure there would have been a back door they could have escaped out of. Or at least phone the police. The only thing I liked about the whole scene was Paul trying to take charge and protect everyone. Aaron saved himself at the first opportunity, and all I could think was, 'Paul wouldn't have left Holly and Susan behind.' (Ok, so I also thought, 'Damn, was hoping Aaron would get shot.')

Didn't feel at all sad to see Toadie go, but that's because they ruined the character and made him completely unlikable.

MiddleClassProblem · 26/09/2024 23:55

anotherlevel · 26/09/2024 20:58

Yes! He was an expert crim before and now he “just wants his money”

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 30/09/2024 00:24

I think it's so weird that they brought Ryan/Toadie back as a central 4 character and then did him so dirty. Ryan has every right to be a bit pissed off as they turned Toadie into the most annoying, whiney, self absorbed character on the street just to get him to waltz off to Colac. I reckon, as an actor, I'd much rather my character died in a blaze of glory and tears (I'm not an actor!). After 30 years, I think they could have done a lot better.

Holly Hostage is getting a bit tired now!

I don't think there is any doubt the actress that plays Wendy is very pregnant now! 😂
