Watching the Ella dating scenario is also quite uncomfortable. I'm someone who believes trans women are women and have argued here under a different name about that and taken a lot of flak, but watching her I can also see many things that make me understand the other side of the argument.

I see why someone like her would appeal to many men. Her whole persona seems to be about portraying the most sexually overt female characteristics and her dating appears to be all about getting guys to respond to these characteristics and to validate her as a woman. Which on the one hand is fine as it's her dating journey, but what makes me a bit uncomfortable is the idea that this is what men should expect from women, a perfectly turned out sex doll who just wants to be viewed as a woman. We are much, much more than that.

His ex fiancée is Amanda Harrington who was in the Desperate Scousewives reality show. He allegedly used to be a very heavy drinker, hopefully he's not now. He has lots of pics of his daughters on his instagram which is nice. He's just done an odd papped photoshoot with Helen that's in the papers. They are in the sea. She's in a bikini and looks freezing. He is wearing a long sleeve shirt and shorts.

Exactly this. Ella has grown on me a bit since Mafs - she seems slightly more self aware, but it’s a step too far to refer to sperm as eggs - this tips into a sort of misogyny to me. She is a trans woman of course, but she isn’t a woman.

I don’t think Jamelia has done herself any favours from appearing on this - I think she’s dull as dishwater. She doesn’t seem to being much to the party at all on dates and leaves it to the (usually too young) man to do the work.

Just catching up on Monday's. What the hell is Helen wearing! We were joking about the Disney princess thing but surely a grown woman cannot dress like that all the time!

Helen has very odd dress sense, so over the top. I didn’t know much about her before watching this but it sort of makes sense that she’d be best friends with Ashley James 😬. I found it uncomfortable them doing the sexual compatibility questionnaires & her boyfriend wanting her to be more kinky. Even though Dr T said she should only do what she felt comfortable with it did feel a bit pressured. Helen seems very eager to please.

I really liked Helens dress on Monday, not for everyday. It was an "occasion" dress. But then, if I was on TV I'd dress up too.

I really love this programme and others like it as they allow my brain to go mushy. However, if I was a producer on this I think I would feel like a (very well paid) pimp.

Tristan was right not to choose one of the girls in front of all the others. That is a really strange position for a man to be put in: to be given so much power to choose a date. I am guessing that as a generally decent guy, he wouldn't want to do that. I know the women could refuse, but given that they have already signed up to dating the guy off MIC I think they would be hard pressed to turn him down.

I am guessing that sex with a trans woman is very very different to sex with a woman born as a woman. He might be able to do things with a trans woman that some men secretly want to do to women, which we wouldn't let them do but a man...er...Ella might allow them to because he isn't really a wo.......well, you know what I mean

Someone on here said that people like Jamelia mistake their good fortune for incredibly hard work (I'm sure she does work hard) and self motivation, but many of us work incredibly hard and are motivated, but will never become famous or very wealthy. There is an element of luck involved. Unless she wrote that song superstar herself, if she didn't exist they would have got someone else to sing it who might also be a "star". Although her need to go on CGD makes her superstar status questionable. Same with Lauren (although her status as a celeb is attained by dubious means in my opinion. I am getting really old because I find it all a bit weird. I just found out that that girl who defrauded all those people of hundreds of thousands of pounds is doing the US version of Strictly.

There are, however, lots of men who are very into trans women to the point it becomes their sole “thing”. One of my dds friends is trans and finds it very difficult to date because so many men seem to just want to date her because she is “trans” above everything else.

Because men have a prostrate which makes anal sex feel better than for a woman who doesn't? Because men are larger built so the whole thing tends to be larger? I guess that's why. Because if Ella hadn't transitioned then would be a gay man and anal sex would be 'the norm'? Lots of reasons I guess.

Alex seems very into Ella, but in a laid back sort of way (wheras Ella is excited and emotional about it) They dont seem like youd put them together, but you never know. I was pissing myself laughing at Gillian McKeiths daughter going on and blabbing straight away about being GM daughter and how awful that was when it comes to dates as they all want to meet her or whatever. (What men that age would even know who the woman was?) She isn't Tristans usual type and she seemed to be shoe horned in like a favour to a friend ("see ya!") 🤣

You believe humans can change sex? Sorry but there are only two biological sexes, male and female and you can't swap between them. Getting a boob job and having your knob cut off doesn't make you a woman.

I think Ella is incredibly vulnerable, declaring love on second dates and sleeping with anyone that shows her the slightest interest - and this bloke seems like an even dodgier Russell Brand. It's all very wierd. And her best mate is now one of the people off MAFS! Is her whole life reality tv now?

I don't think Jamelia is that interested in anyone they set her up with because she knows it's all going to be Dan the builder from Dagenham who's desperate to get on tv types. She's just there for the pay cheque and i don't blame her - the people they set the women up with are pretty much always a bunch of losers.

Lauryn is a mess and shouldn't be on a programme like this, it's really not going to help her.

Lauryn handled it so oddly with her date. I can understand being moved to tears his story about his mum, especially with small kids, but her attempt to handle it with humour had him apologising! Not in total seriousness but somewhat dismissive saying 'fun topics only next time'. A funny lass. she doesn't seem to really know what to do with herself socially

Tristan wants his own Nature programme. He keeps mentioning ornithology and wanting to 'make bird watching sexy' He's also mentioned how he worked in SA as a guide. I think he sees himself as the next Ben Fogle / Chris Packham type.

Actually I wouldn't mind watching Tristan on a wildlife programme. I think he'd make a good presenter.

Ok I’m going to sound really stupid and maybe unkind. As we all know Ella is trans. She was born male and had male chromosome’s.

When a male changes sex to female, chromosome wise are they still biologically male? So would there be a bigger risk of a man having sex ( anal or vaginal) with a trans woman? Is it the same thing as two men having sex with eachother ?
