It's weird to see the agents portray themselves as these reasonable, insightful and kind advisers when they often give pretty poor advice or even if they give good advice they also overlook and encourage some really bad behaviour. And most of the dates they seem to invite are either these tattooed Mr Muscle types who don't have anything to say or girls with pumped up lips and boobs and fake everything whose only aspiration seems to be an 'influencer' of some sort. Or the girl Tristan is now seeing who seems hellbent on marrying him immediately - wonder why? It really is such a depressingly vacuous world.
So if a celeb likes someone they promptly send them off with a bunch of other people and encourage them to get off with them - nice! And then congratulate them for a job well done like Tristan and Chris for having a sleazy night of it, shagging in everyone's hearing after Tristan already seemed to connect with another girl. Is this really the sort of behaviour that is likely to lead to good relationships?
And sorry but I find both Ella and Stephen just horrible. Their dynamic is the classic bitchy queen behaviour that often seeks to denigrate and shame women - Ella wasted no time in bitching about Lauryn who is clearly in a bad way (Why was she invited in the programme? And the misogyny towards her is vile, including here.) and even while posing as a shoulder to cry on you could see she was just lapping up the drama and gathering material for gossip. And Ella just seems so narcissistic, seeking endless validation and making pretty poor choices like preparing to ditch the guy who really likes her and who she has already shagged twice.
And Stephen - just wow! Can someone really be that immature and obnoxious at his age? When he meets guys who try to have some sort of normal conversation with him he gets bored and starts spouting his puerile and offensive smut. And the agents don't take him to task about any of it or if they did they've given up!
Chris I think needs some sort of therapy (they all do) to encourage him to have a smidgen of respect for his dates and to behave like a normal human being.
Tristan comes across a relaxed and confident sort of guy but it's easy when you're a privileged and entitled posh guy no doubt rolling in it. And his behaviour in the last episode/s really wasn't great and the agents encourage it?
Jamelia, I feel really sorry for her. Can they really not find her a grown-up man with a modicum of charisma, conversation and actually something to offer rather than these little fanboys and hustlers they keep peddling?
