Totally agree they didn't have the time.

I think the technical and show stopper should have been switched. Tiramisu for technical and an array of steamed puds for showstopper. Then they could have had the time to make some decent options

Alison is getting on my last nerve with her bayuk (spelling?!) pronunciation.

But then they would just be standing around for 5 hours. There isn't really the technical complexity in a spotted dick to make a showstopper.

I agree with pp tiramisu should have been the technical you can't mess with classics like this.

He does like his cheffy touches, doesn't he? I wonder how much impact they'll have on the finished dish though? And not convinced by a pudding that looks like a concrete box either.
