I'm sure that Jilly ( rich one) wouldn't go to Norway on holiday as George only mentioned hot places! I very much doubt that either couple have actually done these trips !
I did think that George's one was expensive, but Dh pointed out that motor home's to rent are not cheap. So fair enough

@Blondeshavemorefun I think she’s been struggling with her mental health. The activities on the holiday helped her mood and her confidence. At the end of the programme, it was said that she had a job interview 🙂

I admit that if I saw George n Jilly out together I'd assume it was dad / daughter , which is a bit judgemental I guess ( but as I'm not in their kind of circles it won't happen!)

While a trio of retired friends slum it on a package holiday to tenerife

I interested in this one as I love tenerife and go there yearly

Yes the odd crap hotel but same for all counties

But generally tenerife is lovely so not sure how they can slum it ?

I'd rather go to Tenerife than Nashville too !

I've gone yearly often twice a year for 13yrs

Puerto Del La Cruz, The Hotel Bontanico. It apparently has large gardens with water and Swans and the Botanical gardens a stones throw away.

I had a look and it's 45e per night for a cabin for 4

I wouldn't say that's a really low budget as I pay 57e a night for a one bed apartment when I stay there

I’m away in sunny, hot 🫠 Crete, so it will be a little treat when I get home. I find it endearing that all the kids and nearly all the adults, get something out of the poor holidays, so I remain optimistic 🙂
