Factory workers Chris and Daniel ditch their usual camping to an all expense paid holiday in Miami Beach

While big spenders Maisie and Liam got to Hartlepool for a low budget break

Watched this last night and I couldn’t quite figure out how the ‘rich’ family could’ve afforded a £20k holiday - they lived in a fairly normal new build house and didn’t seem unusually well-off. There was no mention of what they did for a living which was a bit odd. They seemed nice enough but I felt the little girl had had a bit of a sheltered/cosseted life; like she’d really never been on a boat?!

Loved the dad and son though, they really made the most of their holiday and looked to be having a fantastic time!

They said they earnt 5 figures each

It said they earned SIX figures each. They did say what they did at the beginning.

I didn't think it was much of a comparison this time.

on those salaries they should be able to have the house and the hols!

£1000 a night v £65 per night including breakfast - which looked nice - £60 without so £5 for breakie

I don't watch this programme, but I'm intrigued to know: why would a rich family agree to swap their 5* holiday for a cheap 1* holiday?!?

I can understand the family doing it the other way around though 😉

I love this show. I find most reality TV programmes pretty awful and, for me unwatchable, but this type I love. Invariable the posh holiday people are horrified at their option, but discover that they can enjoy simple things. That said, please no one ever make me go camping 😳

Some people will do anything for a bit of fame and/or to be on TV!

This is what I thought it might be. 15 minutes of fame at a cost of ££££s! Not for me thanks.
