Olympics Closing Ceremony

Let’s hope it’s better than the opening ceremony!

Starts at 7 pm on BBC 1.

Alex Yee will be carrying the GB flag.

Why? He's young, fit and nimble. Send him for a swim in the Seine, it might be quicker.

He is rumoured to be doing a stunt to take the Olympic flag.
He has supposedly already filmed the LA part of the stunt

I think it looks so tacky when the olympians come out with their phones in hand. It cheapens them and the ceremony.

Being a bit slow on the uptake at times, I have only just realised that the silver thing on the field in the centre of stadium, is in the shape of a abstract world map.

I thought it was pointy climbing rocks .

I think I’d be hanging out with the Canadians and the Bermudians tonight

It’s not very impressive.

Oh yeah, I can see it now. I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said it.

I love seeing them recording the event and taking pictures with other athletes. What a wonderful moment this must be for them, celebrating their Olympic dreams after a lifetime of dedication, and being able to record it so they can relive the moment for the rest of lives.

They have been training for years and have had three weeks of putting in every bit of effort. Surely they can now revel in the closing ceremony and take some pictures as a memento? I all looks very relaxed and fun. It must be such a relief to get to this point in the games.
