Had literally never heard of him before but he's easy on the eye (as long as he's wearing a turtle neck) and I assume he comes across as likeable to have the career he's had.

Yes, I'm not really a fan of neck tattoos. Still, it doesn't look as bad as the man on professional Masterchef who had a giant bee tattooed up his neck, that gave me the shivers!

Pete wicks yaay, love him .never watched Towie but I've seen him elsewhere like him a lot.

I don't know either off the two announced this morning but I never know the reality TV, internet famous people or soap stars (unless they have also done 'proper' dramas).

I only know of Tasha she was on TV talking about Love Island but I had to look her up again this morning to remind myself who she was.

I've never heard of either of them but that doesn't really matter to me. Tasha used to date Giovanni a few years ago so that's interesting - she probably knows a bunch of the pros already.

I'm not keen on reality TV people or influencers doing Strictly. They always feel like people who have self-promoted their way into celebrity and who are getting way more out of the experience than the poor, unfortunate audience. Strictly shouldn't be used to foist people upon us.

I love how they try and make out they're not reality stars by listing other stuff they've done because they're a reality star like "being an author" when they probably had a quick chat with a ghost writer.

I suppose Tasha could go with Aljaz - no idea why he's been brought back if the Sun list is correct but Kai is due a good 'un, yes. He may already know Tash if she dated Gio.

As well as the pool of big celebrities getting smaller every year, I think there is a push towards putting newer faces forward to appeal to the Tik Tok generation - hence reality stars and social media influences.

Hamza was obscure at the start of Strictly, yet so many of us got to know him, voted for him and he went on to win the series.
Zara didn't do great on her run, but how many of us started to like her and root for her last year to keep going?

I think using the thread to speculate on whatever info is out there is fine but a lot of people don't want to go near The Sun...

I don't like that the Love Islander is a ringer, but then I'm very against ringers and would choose a duffer over them every time.

Didn’t realise Amy was that tall. 5’ 9”. Maybe she’ll get the swimmer if Nadija doesn’t get a celeb this year. Assuming she feels well enough.

I don't mind Strictly being used to boost people's careers, sometimes it's the ones I've never heard of that I end up liking the best!

(Although I am a bit less sure about YouTubers, just because if YouTube is all they've done they might never have actually interacted with people in the real world! And a BBC primetime audience is a big step up from a fanbase of teenage girls only communicating via the internet.)
