I agree. I love Paris and have spent several thankless summers there working (because Parisiens bib off en vacances).
This was an opportunity to put Paris on the global occasion map but it was a pile of shite. Possibly style over substance. Much like Paris itself - love the concept, frequently hate the reality of Gard du Nord, merd des chiens, l'arrogance des serveurs.
You need to engage an audience emotionally before the Olympic bollocks, this failed on all fronts.
