I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

Love how Sean and Joeys “talent” had to focus so much on making digs at others especially Jomi. I mean give it a rest 🙄 but it’s on brand I guess and sums them up

I'm watching behind but it seems like Jess needs a lot of reassurance and emotional support and Ayo finds that draining.

As a viewer I think they are better suited from what we've seen and people in the villa are saying the same thing so it is a bit weird that his brother is saying the opposite. But I suppose he is his brother and knows him better than all of us

I think Jessica is just a girl with big feelings and Ayo’s emotions are more muted.

They will either just need to adapt to each other and accept how they’re both like or go their separate ways.

I agree with Jess and Grace though, she has brought out a better side of Ayo. He never got much air time with Mimi and when he did it was boring conversations where he would say very little. He seems to laugh and joke and chat a lot better with Jessica! I like them together.

I hate that for the second season in a row, Love Island have played up 2 people getting back together when it never happened. Callum and Molly last season and now Mimi and Ayo. Just let them get on with it!

As I said yesterday, I think Ayo comes from a quiet and religious family. Jess is rough round the edges ( as someone else put it much more politely than I have previously). I suspect that Mimi aligns more with their family values and would be the sort of woman most families would be happy to welcome.
Jess not so much. I do think Jess is the kind of woman who could get quite lairy - I don’t know why I think that but occasionally there are glimpses of that.

Ayo’s brother is probably thinking about compatibility more in those terms than Jess making Ayo laugh .In some ways he is right; it can be difficult to have relationships with people whose backgrounds are v different - not impossible - but difficult.

So I don’t think it’s about who Ayo is comfortable with etc it’s a values thing I suspect.

Ayo alway seems hyper aware of Mimi - I would find that odd if I were Jessica.

The only one with any actual talent tonight was Jessy. The rest of it was one big cringe fest.

I'm just catching up and despite the peior warning, I just can't believe Ayo. Telling Jess serves no purpose whatever, but hurt her.

It's as if his brother's word have magnified any doubt he had about his choice and instead of being confident in his choice and standingstrong on his attraction toJess, he's just gone and dumped a load of shit on her and is now going around as blank as usual.

And to think people thought Mimii lacked personality. Watching her with Josh, I think Ayo was the one sucking her dry.

I feel sorry for Jess. Perhaps they’re from different backgrounds but I like her. I think she has a big heart albeit a bit needy. Ayo I find a bit of an enigma. He was speaking straight, now he’s retracted into his shell. Idk if that’s because of what his brother said or because he can’t handle Jess’s need to revisit the conversation.

So two roasting. Joey was doing so much better until the punchline of his act and I wonder what will be said after Sean’s comment about Mimi on the terrace. I wonder if that was and attempt to undermine the competition.

I completely agree re Mimi and Josh. She’s a different person. For someone with such a magnetic and beautiful smile Ayo is incredibly dull and dry.

He really is. I'm wondering if it's deliberate because he wants the girls to work for him, because he has spoken in full sensible sentences twice and he used to be quite animated with the boys.

Really?! Mimi is dull. She can barely keep her eyes open and she has such a monotone voice. Jess is cute and funny. Mimi is also a lying twat.

Mimi looks like she's sedated most of the time, she's dull. Shame Uma left as she was interesting and had something about her.

I wouldn’t say Mimi is dull but she does come across very sleepy 😆I guess it’s just her manner of speaking and moving.

I think personalities like her don’t necessarily shine in groups, if you’re on the outside looking in, but it’s telling that a lot of people who are in that group ie. Islanders, really like her. She’s clearly able to form good relationships one on one.

Ronnie named her as one of his favourite islanders when he left and so did Uma. I can’t imagine either of them would’ve got on so well with someone that is seriously boring.

@Sweetenuf2 i think so too. She comes across as so chilled she’s half asleep but then everyone clearly likes her and says she’s great fun. It could be that she responds to drama by stepping back and being introverted and it’s the drama that tends to be aired. I wonder if a different side to her is shown in Unseen Bits.

Ayo just needed to leather on the reassurance for a night and it would've been fine. Didn't get a nice impression from the brother's expression though. Possibly as though he wasn't love island material so he would shit stir as much as he could in the little access he had. Just a shame it's always Jess that cops it.

Jessy was incredible!! I couldn't believe Joey didn't even know what stilts were called! Surely that's very general knowledge

I like the talent competition even if they're blagging it, brings in some personality or history like Jess being a talented artist (not her 2 minute daub but getting A* at A Level), Reuben's showmanship and Ayo being willing to make a tit out of himself like Indiyah with her recorder.

Joey and Sean missed the point, a roast is supposed to roast everyone, not just pick on certain ones. Joey was almost up there with Kendall Roy

Why did Jessy apologise to Joey? She did nothing wrong.

I can understand why Ayo felt the need to tell Jess, knowing how she's reacted in the past to being kept in the dark, he just cannot articulate himself at all, so that was a painful watch. I think Jess is a better match for Ayo, however, he's not a good match for her. She needs reassurance and he's unable to offer it and just looks bored at the thought of talking full stop.

Joey can add rap to the ever growing list of things he cannot do.

In a villa full of loud-mouthed, hyper-emotional and sometimes neurotic, it's good to have someone who is just serene, confident and self-assured.

I can see why it unsettles folks, but she's quite popular, so I think she's just fine.

Ayo can articulate himself when he wants to. He articulated himself in his first recoupling speech and again when he was reassuring Josh that the Mimii situation was done.

What he did to Jess was unnecessary and thoughtless. Instead of burdening her with what his brother said, he should've just spent the remaining time strengthening what they have, then it wouldn't even have mattered by the end.

Now the poor girl is stuck with him in the villa and he's gone mute. So sad to watch.

Ayo most definitely has doubts, I think he knows they won’t last on the outside as his brother’s opinion means a lot to him.

Ayo and Jess both looked unhappy together last night in my opinion. Jess is flogging a dead horse so to speak, she is so focused on Mimi and her insecurities surrounding that, that she’s forgetting Mimi aside Ayo just isn’t suited to her, she is too needy for his personality and he seems uncomfortable with her when she wants to discuss feelings. I think it’s a done deal, they’ll probably stay together for a couple of weeks but will split very soon after.

Sean is going from bad to worse daily in my opinion.

I cringed at first when Reuben started singing but he was great, as was Jessy & Mimi they all have actual talent.
I’m also surprised Joey doesn’t know what stilts are!
