I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

This is actually one of the best meet the parents ever. Jessy’s parents clearly hate Joey. Why wouldn’t they?! She’s far too classy for him.

Joey accidentally on purpose walking past Grace and her parents. WTAF! He’s completely obsessed with her.

Ayo’s family do not like Jess. His sister was sitting there very serene and doing the whole “As long as you’re happy” but his brother was brutal! I loved that he gave him a hard time for the shitty way he treated Mimi - he got a complete pass and he shouldn’t have. I also loved that he had the balls to tell Ayo that he felt he was better suited to Mimi and that Jess’s constant need for reassurance was too much. I really admire that level
of honesty. I just don’t see it with Jess and Ayo - she’s so loud and Ayo is so
laidback. I feel like she’d be that lairy friend on a night out who’d cause shit and kick off.

hope Mimi stays with Josh. Ayo isn’t worthy of her.!

I think Mimi is a special type of person-just one of those proper, good people ⭐️

I def think Grace’s parents were trying to warn/intimidate Joey a bit, fair enough though, they’re probably sick of saying the way he’s treating her

Ugh Joey running past Grace and her parents was so deliberate and attention seeking. And for her Dad to call him over like he’s someone so very special. What an arselicker. Joey will have loved getting in on Graces time with them. He’s obsessed with her. Obsessed with the fact that she’s not devastated he’s not coupled up with her. If I were Jessie that one thing would totally put me off never mind the other little games he likes to play.

Handy timing that the parents came in so the issues between Sean /Mathilda and Joey/Jessy were glossed over. A bit awks if the couples had stayed not talking!

Ayo's brother was presumably encouraged to voice his opinions whereas Jesse's parents probably weren't. They were definitely economical with the truth about what they thought about Joey.

I hope Mimii and Josh don't get dragged into the Ayo/Jessica drama that is obviously going to come next. 4 people potentially hurt by someone else's opinion. Yet again! And I bet Sean won't be able to keep his beak out this time either.

I got the impression Jess' parents DID like Joey.

I can’t work out Joey’s obsession with Grace. He seems happy enough with Jessy but he must still want Grace. It seems more than wanting her to want him.

As PP have said I really hope that Mimi and Josh are not drawn in to Ayo’s drama. It says so much about him that he’s now questioning his relationship with Jess. It’s clear his family don’t see them as compatible - I have said this all along. They are clearly a quiet and religious family whereas Jess is quite loud and sweary. I can see why they see Mimi as a better fit. Even if they are wrong, it says everything about Ayo that it has made him question his relationship with Jess.

I really rooted for him and Mimi but his behaviour towards her after Casa was appalling and I’m glad that his brother called it out. Mimi deserves someone a million time better than Ayo. Even before Casa he talked in riddles and was never straight with her. He is weak and indecisive.

I thought it was clear that Ayo looks up to his brother and values his opinion. So when he said that Mimii was a better fit, that was definitely going to play on Ayo's mind. I hope his feelings are genuine, either way, and not just swayed by what his big brother says.

As re Jessy and Joey I thought it was forced politeness. What else can they say or do? I felt they didn’t like him. Jesse’s Mum particularly. My DC are not that age yet but it must be incredibly difficult when your children have partners you don’t particularly warm to or, even worse, don’t like.

I agree. I didn’t get the impression Jessy’s parents were keen on Joey at all. But why would they be?!

I don't reckon Ayo will be questioning his feelings. I think he just thinks he should tell her what his brother said to be 'honest' (aka she will eventually see it when she gets out of the villa). A bit like how Ciaran felt the need to tell Nicole that he had made a comment about how he would have chosen to kiss Grace in that challenge weeks ago.

Is this all some big premeditated set up?

Are Joey and Grace going to be together and Mimi and Ayo. Is that why we are all so confused about behaviours? And see different weird/unreasonable things that dont make sense? Can they recouple? They cant can they?

And why ridiculous arguments are being staged and why family are shaking Joeys hand and influencing Ayo?

Because its all "giving falling apart at the seams" if Ayo leaves Jessy, Mimi leaves Josh and Jessy leaves Joey.

Or am I just suffering with heat exhaustion.

There wasn’t any need for Ayo’s brother to tell Ayo that Mimi was a better fit. He could have relayed that information after the show ended.

The family probably think that Jess is a bit rough around the edges. The word ‘common’ has been used to describe her.
Now this will open up a can of worms just as Mimi is beginning to move on.

Completely agree. Ayo obviously respects and listens to his brothers opinion- so him saying that he preferred Mimi is definitely going to play on Ayo’s mind. Plus I think he definitely said meeting Mimi afterwards, she’s back in his head now!

I think Jess seemed really dismissive of her mom, she introduced her best friend & then said - oh & my mom & then she kept interrupting her when she spoke, which to me seemed a bit odd especially when she hadn’t seen her for weeks.

Ayo isn’t suited to either of them in my opinion.

The only person I like is Cieran. He has integrity & has come across well throughout the show.

I did like Jessy until the Grafties night, the way she went in at Josh did seem to have racial undertones to me too, it felt like where has that anger come from, as she was so angry & animated at him for no reason. That really surprised me.

I agree @FormerlySpeckledyHen the producers would have told Joey to walk past. Grace’s dad shouldn’t have shook his hand though, that was odd after how he’s treated his daughter.

I suspect it might all be BS re Ayo and Jess. Sorry that wasn’t meant to rhyme! It’ll be a storm in a teacup.

I agree re Cieran he seems fundamentally decent. Even Nicole has calmed down though I do worry about them on the outside. Same for Ayo and Jess - if there’s this level of insecurity when they are together 24/7 how are they going to be when they are apart?!

I missed what Ayo’s brother said about meeting Mimi. What did he say?
Also thought Ayo seemed pensive watching M and J with their families.

I really like her and they seem great together, but she is rather needy. She keeps trying to make him say he loves her, which is cringe.
