We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through the three series of of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are currently part way through series 8 of Spooks. Having recently witnessed the demise of Adam Carter in the last series, he has been replaced by Lucas North.

We are in the final stages of series 9. We start series 10 very soon.

Evening all! I am very ready to enjoy a bit of escapism in the world of Downton tonight after the depressing re-election of the orange man baby! I've been following the US election news quite closely for the last six months or so and it's really not the outcome that the rest of the world needs right now - as if we didn't have enough problems to deal with. So the chance to disappear down the Downton rabbit hole is very welcome indeed

Agree with you on the Trump v Harris debacle. If I'm honest, I've been fascinated with it all - far more hooked on it than our own election!

A company where I worked years ago which had various secretaries and PAs reminded me a bit of the snobbish staff. The secretaries and PAs gave themselves airs and graces according to the seniority of their bosses.

Golly how formal and rather daunting. I love that Mrs C is trying so hard to say and do the right things. Love the first meeting of old Lady G and Mrs C. Such a great relationship that develops between them.

Thomas is so condescending to Matthew.

It was a great choice to make Mrs C the wife of a doctor and involve her in the running of the hospital.

Awful sounding illness Dropsy! Had to google it - fluid retention around the heart it seems and fatal in those days.
