We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through the three series of of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are currently part way through series 8 of Spooks. Having recently witnessed the demise of Adam Carter in the last series, he has been replaced by Lucas North.

We are in the final stages of series 9. We start series 10 very soon.

Do we believe a word Stacie says to anyone man?

This sounds like a double bluff from Stacie.

I think they let Jake win the poker match after getting rid of the two other legit players (laxative and false birth phone call), then made him believe that Stacie was really leaving Mickey and the gang. She made Jake believe the money he had been given was fake by taking one of the fake bundles from the bar before she left and pretending it came out of the case, but it was a case of real money. Mickey turns up with the fake case of money and they have their false conversation, then Jake throws the first case of what he believes is fake money - cue Danny in the river having to retrieve it. Then Jake leaves with the false money and his apartment has been cleaned out. Well, that's what I think happened

I'm thinking perhaps we could take a break from Hustle after the end of this series - it's been a nice change from Spooks but not sure I'm ready to plough on with several series in a row. We did mention possibly 'Line of Duty' as a new series, but any other ideas welcome - a period drama perhaps?

It'll have to be something I can pick up either via a DVD or iPlayer, ITVX or whatever.

iplayer has all the series of Poldark and ITVx has all of Downton Abbey. There's also Freevee which has a lot of series. I've been watching my way through Mad Men for the last couple of weeks. I also have some old series at home which can also be found free online either through youtube or Dailymotion. Confession time...one of my all time favourites is Secret Army from the late 70's and it has quite a cult following. That can be viewed on Dailymotion just by searching for it by name (I have a DVD boxset too )

Hustle has been ok but it doesn't have the attraction of OG or Spooks. Mind you, Spooks got very difficult to follow!

As an interim watch, we could always do a couple of our favourite OG episodes?

Me too. I never tire of a rewatch. The only episode I won't watch all the way through is the infamous Christmas Day one...how to ruin a good vibe

I am happy to watch any of those mentioned. I haven't rewatched Downton for ages so for me that would be one to look forward to.

Downton would of course make a nice homage to the late great Maggie Smith.

It looks like Downton gets the nod, then! A bit of a treat in the run up to Christmas. I've got the subscription version of ITVX but if you are going to watch on the streaming service and have the ads version then you can just tell me when to pause. I think I've also got the first series on DVD somewhere. Just a small fan 😀
