Just wanted to recommend this, I believe it starts some time this week in the UK. We're about 8 episodes in and it's very funny, dark and a bit surreal.

No, Julia Roberts isn't in it, and I don't even think any of the actresses look like her. I couldn't even guess which one you thought she was!

The woman with the 4 kids is definitely my favourite!

Fab! New appointment telly!
Really enjoyed the weird mix of "Twin Peaks", "The Trueman Show" and "Dallas" (wouldn't you want to kill yourself if all of your female neighbours were that gorgeous?)(though seriously undernourished IMHO )

What did Mary Alice do????

Marina · 06/01/2005 11:19

I loved it, sorry to hear it gets a bit silly later on Kate
Thought the script was excellent.
Ed brings back happy nostalgic mat leave memories for me, dd and I used to watch it loafing on the sofa (sigh). Thought the town it was set in was v. pretty!

LapsedGymJunkie · 06/01/2005 11:44

I loved it and even if it does get silly and implausible, just think Footballers Wives, Dallas, they were so bad they became compulsive viewing.

In fact, I was quite bored in Mass as a teenager and managed to figure out who shot JR

EpiffanyFeast · 06/01/2005 11:49

Bloody F men!
I put dd to bed last night, walked the dog, came in at 8.02pm and dh was on the playstation stating that nothing was on tv he had checked.
He is usually very honest
Damn arse
