First time in 10 years I've not been able to go to Glastonbury due to damn cancer. However the lovely people I work with there as stewards have been sending me regular updates. I'm loving it - as my Glastonbury isn't BBC Glastonbury. Last year it was 30 years since my very first one, and so I think that was a satisfying number to stop at.

People always think people are miming because there is a slight sound delay in a massive field. They're not.
If I was there today I'd have gone to see the skatalites.

I still can't find Keane on bbc i-player. Angry

It’ll be in the today on the Pyramid section, I think everything on the pyramid will be there if you go to watch from start rather than live x

sugarbyebye · 29/06/2024 18:35

Fat white family were immense as usual, just rewound Lankum now to the beginning, so looking forward to some dark folky vibes.

There isn't as much on iplayer as I thought, maybe they're adding them all later.

I think it’s deceiving because if you go to Pyramid/Other stage/Woodsies but click watch from start not live the entire days sets are on there rather than by individual bands, I thought it meant just watch from start of that live set but it’s not

sugarbyebye · 29/06/2024 18:54

@Changingplace yeah I've been doing that for todays ones, but I wanted to see some of the stuff I missed yesterday from the main stages and the sets haven't been uploaded. I wonder if they just haven't got the capacity to do them all yet? Maybe they'll appear at the end. I really want to see Heilung.

Oblomov24 · 29/06/2024 18:54

@dapsnotplimsolls
Thank you kindly for the link. I'm watching it now. Takes me right back!

iplayer is always crap @the80sweregreat i never find what i want..
Jo Whiley just said Jungle are on iplayer, but buggered if i can find them!

I actually found their set on iPlayer earlier- it’s under the dance tab if you scroll along. Not easy to find I agree- I’m generally finding it hard to find stuff on iPlayer.
Also found Seventeen under the pop tab.

Appalonia · 29/06/2024 19:07

Saw Jungle listed on iPlayer earlier today. It's under one of the categoriess, maybe Dance?

loving Black Pumas right now!

Oblomov24 · 29/06/2024 19:08

Thought Keane were really good. All my favourite songs.

Jellykat · 29/06/2024 19:14

Ahaa found it @Appalonia thank you, i was looking via stage rather then catagory

dapsnotplimsolls · 29/06/2024 19:18

Kasabian were great.

The Last Dinner Party atm here. Very good.

Was a bit disappointed with Cindi I have to say but I guess she is 71 now....

I think if she'd maybe not ran around the stage so much she might have sounded a bit better. But then that's Cindi Lauper!

Appalonia · 29/06/2024 19:22

Ha one of the backing singers in Black Pumas just sang, ' Scotland, I want to know you better'. I don't think they know where 'Glaston Berry' is!😂

BurntBroccoli · 29/06/2024 19:24

GellerYeller · 29/06/2024 17:11

I thought Keane absolutely smashed that. I know some people sneer at them but whatever. Flawless vocals.

Tom Chaplin has just an amazing pure voice. I've been listening to their first album (I think released 20 years ago this year 😱) in the car all week. Picked up a CD for a couple of quid on EBay.

Clabony · 29/06/2024 19:30

Anyone watching Cindy Lauper? I've always loved her, but this isn't going well.

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2024 19:32

I’m enjoying Black Pumas

She looks good for her age.

blobbsog · 29/06/2024 19:40

Cyndi can't seem to hit any of the notes but I bet if you're in the crowd she sounds great.

Anyone watching Cindy Lauper? I've always loved her, but this isn't going well.

Her timing is all out. Her voice is still pretty good though!

Michael Kiwanuka was excellent- one artist I've yet to see live so I'm very jealous of those that are there!

maslinpan · 29/06/2024 19:41

Orbital should be worth a watch later on, apparently Tilda Swinton is doing something with them - hypnotizing the audience?

Clabony · 29/06/2024 19:41

She does look great AverageFruit I really like her outfit and hair too but her voice is struggling I think.

Oblomov24 · 29/06/2024 19:42

I enjoyed Keane. Nice to see them all, including Rice-Oxley foot tapping piano playing.
