This nice judge does make Esme seem really negative tonight.

Halsall · 18/06/2024 21:53

Such a pity Pascha didn’t manage the skirt

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:53

The drapes all seem messy.

littlbrowndog · 18/06/2024 21:53

Love georgies

TellyUsername · 18/06/2024 21:54

Can we keep this judge and retire Esme?

Halsall · 18/06/2024 21:54

SoupDragon · 18/06/2024 21:52

Chinelo?

Yes, that’s her

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:54

I thought Pascha's was a really good short dress.

Love Lauren's!

TellyUsername · 18/06/2024 21:54

Laurens is more Grecian than Indian

Piggywaspushed · 18/06/2024 21:54

That orange is stunning. I can see what she means about Scottish/Indian fusion.

littlbrowndog · 18/06/2024 21:55

Cripes Lauren it’s very Greek

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:56

Alisa's would look so good pressed...

Wolfcub · 18/06/2024 21:56

How is Pascha's not in gotw consideration

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:57

Love Pascha's earrings.

CrushingOnRubies · 18/06/2024 21:57

Suzy was very lucky

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:58

They will say because it wasn't finished, ignoring all the unfinished ones who have been GOTW.

I think the winner was excellent though.

Wolfcub · 18/06/2024 21:58

Not sure I get Lauren going over Suzy

littlbrowndog · 18/06/2024 21:58

Oh I liked Lauren

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 21:59

Suzy is Esme's pet, probably a cat with nine lives. How many episodes in the series?

Edited for typo that was too annoying to leave.

Who was it in Series 2? 3? who cut freehand and did fantastic draping? She'd have been great at this challenge.

I remember her. Lady who had grown up in Africa if I recall. She didn’t do any cutting, or something like that. I want to say she was called Precious.

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 22:03

I remember her doing a nightgown by spreading tye fabric on the floor then cutting, no pattern. It was stunning.

Netaporter · 18/06/2024 22:03

Joining late after the bloody football disrupted me remembering 😭

I think it was fair Lauren left after the grey toga and Suzy’s dress looked more finished. I preferred the drag dress over GOTW but appreciate Alisa had done a great job of interpreting the brief.

Binglebong · 18/06/2024 22:03

Don't agree with today's result.

I posted before I saw that reply, and then I was too late to edit. And she did cut, but not to a pattern.

PickAChew · 18/06/2024 23:03

I picked up Chinelo's book for something daft like £6 in a sale. I'm not into her garments but her technique was intriguing.

The secret is a shit ton of measuring and sums.

This week was a definite improvement on last week. We even saw irons being used, even by Luke. I didn't get the "drama" of his M2M because the colours weren't balanced and his bubblegum pink dress was a simple stretch dress with puckered seams, lumpy hems and sleeves that were very much man length and covered the model's hands in a 9 year old trying on mum's dress sort of way.

I loved th impact of Ailsa's dress but there was a bit of bodging in there. In fact, there seemed to be a lot of bodging, this week.
