Justcallmebebes · 11/05/2024 23:22

What the fuck is going on???!!

Yeah, this is just getting weird now.

I know just because I didn't rate the Swiss song that doesn't mean.nobody did, but as objectively as possible there were plenty that were so much better.

Roundandroundtheworld · 11/05/2024 23:24

I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND THE SWITZERLAND VOTE ..can someone explain please!

C8H10N4O2 · 11/05/2024 23:25

I can't see Switzerland being beaten in teh public vote even if it goes against them - its a huge lead

Yes, the old way meant I learned words like Royaume-Uni as a teenager!

We learnt it as

Royaume-uni - nil points!

Justcallmebebes · 11/05/2024 23:25

Switzerland is the only country that broke the code. What does that mean?

RedToothBrush · 11/05/2024 23:25

Love Iceland. Comes on says 'hello boys' and gives the UK 8 points 😂

Famously neutral country, possibly considered a safe vote for hosting next year...

memoriesofamiga · 11/05/2024 23:23

I cannot understand how the juries can give more votes to Olly than Finland and Estonia. Those were my top two songs and his performance was awful.

The juries made up of professional artists won't appreciate faux nudity and being called Microsoft95guy.

the80sweregreat · 11/05/2024 23:25

It was the magnetic wheel thing that did it.
Only explanation

HeathenPlayingHouse · 11/05/2024 23:24

Broke the code?

The song is about binary code - he was singing about zeros and ones whilst balancing on a satellite dish or something. He is non-binary. I assume that is the message of the song.

mactire · 11/05/2024 23:24

I love these little coded speeches we are getting from the announcers.

Yes I've noticed those too.

takeitorleave · 11/05/2024 23:26

Justcallmebebes · 11/05/2024 23:25

Switzerland is the only country that broke the code. What does that mean?

It was in the lyrics of the song from the Swiss chap.

DysonSphere · 11/05/2024 23:26

Justcallmebebes · 11/05/2024 23:25

I'd love to know.

Foggyfield · 11/05/2024 23:26

Politics is completely ruining it.

Don't get me wrong it's always been a bit politicy. BUT it has never been SO obvious that the jury votes were tactical.

Austrian judge can fuck off. That young girl has got fuck all to do with her government's decisions. I almost want them to get 12 just to hear the idiots screeching. And it's all bollocks, no boos for Azerbaijan. Almost like it's only some deaths that matter (or more likely there only some it's acceptable to hate).

Switzerland was shit compared to some absolute bangers this year.

JaneJeffer · 11/05/2024 23:26

Ah Jaysus

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 11/05/2024 23:26

I can’t even remember Switzerland.

I don’t understand how Ireland are doing so well.

C8H10N4O2 · 11/05/2024 23:26

ahjeez · 11/05/2024 23:25

Famously neutral country, possibly considered a safe vote for hosting next year...

It was a good song, well performed - and also a safe vote for next year!

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 11/05/2024 23:26

Rock n roll kid 😄

the80sweregreat · 11/05/2024 23:26

30 is pretty good for UK so far
I didn't think it would get anything
