I absolutely adored the original show and follow this thread with interest, but I’ve yet to watch AJLT. I just can’t bring myself to torpedo all the goodwill I have for SATC. I shall experience it vicariously through you all.

Oh it’s great! It’s always the same when a sequel tried to match the original. I love it for the fashion, Manhatten and I love seeing the same characters move on in their life like the rest of us( only with more money!) 😀

To disagree with the above, I find it compelling but awful watching, mainly because it doesn’t feel like the characters we knew. It’s alien versions of them in a show without the verve, wit and heart of the original. You’ll find pretty much every bit of commentary on it out there is commenting on how it provokes appalled fascination.

I am enjoying Divorce to see a grown up version of SJP, and was also tickled to see Sarita Chowdhury pop up in Divorce, as a character called "Courtney".
I suppose AJLT must be given credit for letting an Indian character appear with an Indian name which was actually explained.

She doesn't have no arse! I really don't understand that comment. She is slim but has curvy hips, full breasts and a round bum. She also has visible muscles. I know the aesthetic now is 'slim thick' with exaggerated curves but that's rarely achieved naturally and really shouldn't be the standard we look to.

Personally whilst they both look great as clothes horses , I think both SJP and Kristin Davis would look better facially with a stone on them. I’m not sure being teeny tiny really suits that many women over55 facially and both these ladies are60.

I totally agree @FortyElephants . My DD has a similar figure. She's a size 6 and a competitive swimmer, so toned and athletic, but has very pronounced boobs and bum and a tiny waist. Proper hourglass.

But that’s not what curvy means to most people. SJP is extremely slim.Marilyn Monroe was curvy!

What does curvy mean?
1- unattainable without surgery for most women
2- yes, but also obese
3- this is a slim non curvy woman
SJP has an hourglass shape. Even with low body fat she has curves.

No I’m not talking about gym thick I am talking about normal women with boobs and hips. SJP has a great figure but 9/10 would not use curvy to describe it. I’d say she petite and very slim. As I said curvy calls to mind Cristina Hendricks or Marilyn Monroe .

I never watch "coming next week", I like to be surprised 😂 but I looked up who Jonathan Cake is as I don't think I'd heard of him. Excitingly, he's married to Dance Mom (love Hacks 😁) and they have a son called Ignatius. Ignatius Cake. My brother when a child complained to my parents that neither his first name nor his surname were "normal" but I think Ignatius Cake trumps his.

I loved Harry so so much when Charlotte first met him. I don't want anything bad to happen to him.
