Need a very gentle view for tonight

Stuck in an anxiety spiral and looking for a really gentle tv drama show, I like Shetland and whitstable Pearl but stuck at something else. Even a film would help.

Any ideas? Thanks very much. Anxiety is shit.

I am watching When Calls the Heart on the Drama channel, it's set in the early 1900s, quite predictable but good.

Hart of Dixie is also good on ITVx, I watched that recently

Oh we watched that when it was first on, thought it was great a bit silly in places but harmless and a good watch.

It's so good I wish they would make more.

A range there from comedy, historical drama to documentary!

Mortimer and whitehouse go fishing. I was sceptical as their comedy is a little surreal for me, but it's wonderful.

Virgin River is nice and mellow and Steel Magnolias

Try Leverage - it's about a team of misfit criminals who take down bad corps. It's not scary and even though there's so fighting, it's not gory or anything.

This! Beautiful, funny, touching, gentle.

Midsummer Murders, I always think they're a gentle way to while away the time. Same with Inspector Morse. Especially if you aren't feeling your best.

I'm watching Fire Country on Sky at the moment. It's another programme that isn't about the shock value but is very watchable.

They filmed a new series in Bath last year which I've read is due to be screened early to mid 2024 - so hopefully any time now.

Ted Lasso was perfect for this as it's so optimistic and you know nothing really bad will happen. I also like detective shows when anxious as they keep my attention but have a guaranteed resolution.
