I think they should rest the show for a couple of years and then bring it back with a new host (maybe one of the Dragons or etc) who’ll actually bring the format back to the original concept where the aim is to find an apprentice to hire for one of their businesses.

I don't understand why people who have companies worth way more than 500K are entering this competition. It means if Lord Sugar invests he's giving 250K and getting 50% of a much more valuable company.

I think that was new in this series. Clearly it came as a complete shock to the dentist, hence him bowing out. Originally it was just people wanting to start a business from scratch, wasn’t it?

To be fair, the original pitch by Paul (the dentist) was a new business - the scrubs. I think he was just surprised that Lord Sugar would want the same deal on an established business. He original proposed that LS could have a stake in the new site which was rejected.
