Job Lot on Netflix
Early Doors
DS loves Still Game

thisiswheretheseagullfliesaway · 27/04/2024 07:50

Oh and Two Doors Down.

The comedy loosely based on Alan Cards younger years also went down well.

MagpiePi · 27/04/2024 07:54

My Name Is Earl - an old one but funny if you can find it streaming, and watched with my DS when he was a teen (I still have a dvd box set I'm now going to dig out tomorrow to watch again!).

Also the US version of Ghosts if you've not watched.

goodnessmeandgosh · 09/01/2025 21:32

Thanks thewee! I remember my name is earl, thanks!
American ghosts just was unwatchable to us all, don’t know why, no..soul/qurkiness. The GB ghost crew seemed to really have a great energy together.

I think you’d probably enjoy Community.

debauchedsloth · 09/01/2025 21:52

Bottom.

Haaaaappyyynewyear · 09/01/2025 21:55

Not quite the same but… Impractical Jokers?

Same, the Misogyny and sex pest vibes without the tongue in cheek vibe were too ick for us.

My son is similar age and likes the shows you’ve mentioned also to second as others have said:
Friday night dinner
Peep show (watched twice) especially if you like cringe comedy
Derry Girls
Big Boys
Spaced and Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz films

Nighty Night was too much for him though I loved it.

Not a comedy but I’d forgotten that some of it is funny but he’s got really into Twin Peaks which I am (re) watching with him

GreenSalon2 · 09/01/2025 22:06

The Inbetweeners is v funny but think it’s dated in how the female characters are portrayed though he did watch it when a bit younger

Cyclistextraordinare · 09/01/2025 22:08

My DS loved Miranda!

stayathomer · 09/01/2025 22:12

Intelligence with David Schwimmer and Nick Mohammed is very kooky, also space force with Steve carrell
