There are also platforms streaming content illegally if you go looking. We don’t promote them as they are peppered with pop-ups of “Olga” and friends offering a good time, but we can point you in the right direction. We also dip into Japanese, Taiwanese & Chinese drama as & when.

Our list is cumulative so includes recommendations and favourites from all previous threads. Shows marked with a star are more uniformly loved or admired. In categorising series, its important to note most Korean dramas have multiple strands - e.g. supernatural, romance and a thriller; crime series with fantasy elements. Genre-busting mash-ups are normal. Series that are tagged as dark may also have moments of comedy or the absurd, likewise fluff can have heavier moments. Writer/actor Simon Pegg referred to it fondly as “tonal chaos” - it’s part of kdrama’s charm. Has anyone watched Business Marriage on Viki? It’s a Japanese contract marriage drama. Worth it or best avoided?

Has anyone watched sweet home? My eldest and I are both big fans of Song Kang. Netflix says its an 18 whereas IMDB says 15. I did just grudgingly let her watch all of us are dead mainly because of how much I enjoyed it when I watched it. The trailer looked pretty scary so I’m a bit reticent.

@TheLoupGarou I'm watching strong girl nam soon but I have found myself forwarding through any scenes the fl, ml and villain aren't in. I'm basically just watching for Beyeon Woo Soek (sp?) It's just not as cute and funny as Strong Girl Bong Soon. Dh and I finally managed to squeeze in an episode of Shop For Killers, just have the last one left. I hope its good as I've loved it so far.

What age is she @clare8allthepies? It's pretty gory, depictions of suicide/bullying as well as the monsters. Buckets of fake blood, main characters getting killed in gory ways etc .... though its prob not much worse than All Of Us Are Dead in that regard.... i can't remember if any sex scenes/nudity.

I wouldn't let my 12 year old watch it, but if she's around 15 and has seen AOUAD it's prob OK?

clare8allthepies I'd say Sweet Home is less suitable for teens than All of US Are Dead. There are a lot of adult themes, including an attempted rape. I'm surprised it's rated a 15 anywhere, but maybe that's because there's no actual nudity. Some of the violence is pretty graphic, but like a lot of kdramas there's a strong moral core, it's not mindless, so from that aspect I'd say it's OK. The first season is just brilliant, one of my all time top 5, I thoroughly recommend you watch it, with or without the kids.

I just checked the IMBd for Sweet Home and it's 16+ or 18+ in most countries, which seems about right, I'd be cautious about letting younger teens watch it.

I’m laughing out loud at Miss Day’s mad skillz in episode 4 of Miss Night & Day and how distraught prosecutor-nim and his investigator are that nothing’s landing how they intended.

Business Marriage is on my watch list Boaty but it's a one episode a week drop and only about 3 in, so waiting for it to finish first.
I am now 20 episodes of 40 deep in VERY dry CDrama As Beautiful as You. Slightly creepy, definitely mansplainy ML and endless tedious medical tech AI business plot but I'm in too deep to turn back now and must plod through to the end.
DON'T FOLLOW ME.

It's dire. You know I love a contract relationship but the acting is terrible in this one. The ML in particular is shite.

Also, Miss Night & Day goes from strength to strength. I’m up to episode 9 but likely to be impeded by the football tonight so unable to catch up. I absolutely love the fun they’re having with Miss Day’s burgeoning work friendship & her investigator colleague’s reaction. 😆 Added: 10/10 for the headbutt/hand misunderstanding too.
