Cal is lovely. His restaurant, Pine, is close to us and we had a fab tasting menu lunch there last year. He and his partner/wife Sian were so friendly and welcoming.

I think part of Corrin being such a prick is that he doesn't think private chef or food truck chef are "worthy" - and basically, he doesn't have any respect for them. It was markedly different for Melissa up against the top two - they were polite and helpful towards her.

Must try and watch and comment on the thread live tonight! What a result - I’m pleased for Adam but mainly agree that just pleased Melissa did so well and Corrin realised he isn’t the best!! Hoping that Cal and Kirk get last 2 spots as that would be a great result

There was such an irony in Nisha asking Emily about being a woman in a male dominated sport, and having the first female weight lifter to get a medal at the Olympics as their guest, and the way Corrin behaved in the kitchen. I really admire how she handled him and pointed out she has faced it in other kitchens.

I'm surprised but pleased they showed it. I hope he doesn't get through to the banquet.

That's a classy post! I really hope Corrin doesn't get through. He needs to learn some humility. Cal seems like a very lovely person - he reminds me a bit of Tom Kerridge personality wise - focusing on encouraging people rather than criticism.
