It can be confusing.

I've known people who speak patois and I've never known anyone who would be offended if someone non-Jamaican used the odd word. It's just an example of how cultures change and mix.

They are saying that the phrase used by Nikita is used by people of Jamaican origin and that some people may be offended by the use of this phrase . They accept that the phrase was now being used by people of all ethnicities because of integration.
They themselves were not offended but they just wanted Nikita to know that in different places some people may take offence .
They were simply educating him, not criticising him

Our language is constantly changing with words adding in from all over the place. I think that’s ok, lots of our words have French origins for example.

My mother and her family were Scots, stepfather a scouser, I grew up in Lancashire. Just those three have given me language and words that throw people around me here in the SW for a loop.

Big Brother/Celeb BB used to be Vote to Evict for the first few series but then the producers realised that guaranteed that the nasty, divisive, more controversial contestants were eliminated early under that system, leaving the ones who were arguably less good telly behind. Vote to Save means the contestants who don't inspire strong feelings either way are more likely to go first as nobody is motivated to vote for them.

Probably as some celebs are quite fragile and won't cope with being voted out
