I was score watching in the middle of the night, in between watching bits of the Oscars
Very pleased for Angie- she has always been a bit underrated I think. it's just a bit of a shame she's playing Caroline next- as I would have liked them both to get further in the competition.
I can already see the 'Battle of the Mothers' headline though.

But why were Roger and Mirka at the Oscars?

(Mirka looked lovely, very swishy hair- Rog was looking Bond like in a white tux.).

I think he was there as 'spokesman' or something for an 'eyewear' brand.

In other words, he is being paid $$$$$$ to wear sunglasses in public .

Thanks for the heads up about Tennis TV kazza. That’s so weird that the commentary would be device dependent! I haven’t tried watching it on my phone yet but definitely no commentary on the iPad app or the web browser.

Fizzy the Ryan Gosling bit was very funny. Seeing Slash on guitar was brilliant- even if the song didn't win .
I like watching for the outfits. There were some odd ones.

I once did a beer race in a shopping trolley, at university. I was definitely pissed before I got in the trolley. I don't remember getting out of it.

I saw that photo and was impressed Stef could fit in the trolley to be honest. But then I remembered it’s America, they’re probably super sized trollies.

Holger is playing really well and has just taken the first set.

Fizzy I am not really finding this a very exciting match. I'm sorry, but I don't go in for the 'all Brit matches are automatically going to be box office' thing that the commentators try to push- no matter how excited Naomi tries to sound .
