Hi all. I’ve had another huge list not allowed - which has pissed me off as took forever to type all the names

so going to stop tagging on each thread but add the thread title here so anyone can click and find - I think that is easier

I’ve split the old list and new list into smaller groups and will add on here so if you get tagged then reply and can be on threads you are on and will keep getting any notifications of new threads I do

I will try and work out whose name isn’t on mn anymore as it’s bugging me 😂

Apologises if you get two or more tags on here. Just means you were on original list that has been going for a few years and then new 2024 list

@Blondeshavemorefun question for you seeing how much we bonded over Revenge and how you know I'm so behind on almost everything ever. Did you ever watch the multiple series of A Million Little Things? I'm hooked on it. Drama Channel all series streamed. It's my new new Revenge, which had been replaced by Madam Secretary 😁

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2024 14:49

@martinisforeveryone no. I will go and look at it now

What is it about ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2024 14:51

Tho it doesn't seem to have subtitles so I may struggle as all mumble so much

Somebody on one of these TV threads recommended The Signal, German series on Netflix. it's only 4 hour-long episodes. I watched up to ep #3 last night, and it was getting stupid late, so I've saved the finale. Anyway, I thought it was very good (if you ignore a few plot-holes). If you liked the fabulous Dark, I think you'd like this. It's not that similar, but a few parallels in tone, and like Dark, features some amazing acting from a lead child actor.

Anyway, thanks to the poster who recommended it, I've found it absorbing.

martinisforeveryone · 23/04/2024 14:57

It hooks you in. It's a serial drama with light and shade and actually, cursing myself, it does start with the loss of a major character by suicide, I'm very sorry, I should have thought. On the other hand it deals with everyone's complex feelings around the topic and about reaching out for help and how people rebuild their lives, so although it doesn't shy away from lots of references to the character and another who has similar struggles, I do feel that it has positive storylines. Although some of the storylines are hard, the characters range from newborn to elderly and talk about all aspects of their lives, it gets very complex, but essentially it's about families and the bond of strong friendships.

I didn't realise it didn't have subtitles, but it's one of those you can piece things together.

If you didn't see Madam Secretary that's another long runner that hooked me in, about American Government, kind of the foreign office really and again, lots of family storylines, so one major issue per episode but also ongoing stuff.

Lovewine1975 · 23/04/2024 15:13

@duc748 I absolutely loved Dark so will take a look at this definitely thank you for the recommendation

I don't have Netflix so can't watch

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2024 17:12

@martinisforeveryone no worries. I don't mind suicide as such. I just can't watch hangings due to dh

OP posts:
martinisforeveryone · 23/04/2024 17:52

Of course, but still sorry I suggested without considering that aspect. It's one successful and one not but neither by hanging.

I can get subtitles on it by the way. the dark blue bar at the bottom where you can stop play etc. it's the last but one button on the right, next to the big X, there's a white speech bubble icon. The subtitles are the different coloured ones for a change of character.

I guess you know that as you use the Drama app, but it's odd if it works for some and not others?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2024 19:24

Don't be silly. It's fine

I will double check Tom as just on way to work

But always have subtitles on but via demand it does have the white s

THE RED KING

The new series follows Grace as she's placed on a remote "punishment posting" on the island of St Jory in Wales, where she's meet with hostility, a cult nobody seems to talk about and the case of a missing teenager.

According to the official series synopsis: "Smart, capable and by the book Grace Narayan (Mohindra) was flying high as an inner-city police sergeant before being forced into a 'punishment posting' on the small, antiquated island of St Jory.

"Confronted by the forgotten and unsolved case of missing teenage boy Cai, Grace quickly discovers that she must overcome scarce evidence, extraordinary local characters and the island's strange cult history to uncover the truth.
