Will the Paul/Terese/Toadie/Mel quadrangle resolve itself? Will the Baddie Builders ever return? Will Eden get his comeuppance? All these and many more, coming up on Neighbours.

I've watched todays already because I'm off work with a sickness bug. Holly is becoming such an interesting character. I'm loving her misguided adventures. Mel seems to have form for breaking in houses and getting in trouble. But why is no one phoning Reece? I don't get that at all.

EBearhug · 19/08/2024 15:07

Or Andrew. Surely the street's only policeman will have to be involved soon?

Also, does Australia has any GDPR equivalent, with Toady storming off to a former client's house?

Yes! They are literally holding a contract selling the hotel and don’t seem to think Reece should know!?!

Agree with Holly. She’s a bit little Roxy.

I’m not if I missed a sec and how Mac was going around saying American man might be “dangerous”. I forgot his name. But he was done for fraud so trouble sure but I wouldn’t jump to dangerous. Mac be Macking though.

I know others have said it before but Paul and Krista do have chemistry. Whether it’s a Paul and Steph level friendship or something romantic I’m not sure about I hope for the former. I loved it when Paul and Steph had each other’s backs.

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 19/08/2024 16:41

Agree about Reece, I presume Krista is frightened of her reactions, which is why she doesn't want to talk to her about anything? But you'd think Paul would be wondering about it a bit more than he seems to be, particularly as he doesn't seem to trust Tess much.
I really hope Paul and Krista is just friendship, as I agree they have chemistry, but I wouldn't want Paul to be going off with his son's girl-friend. (I want to say, "again", but I've missed many years here and there, since the beginning, and have a memory like a sieve, it's just I assume pinching one of his sons' girl-friends is the kind of thing Evil Paul would do!).

MiddleClassProblem · 19/08/2024 19:28

Well Leo was with Terese for a bit so they have overlapping history.

Mariposa123 · 19/08/2024 20:15

I’m wondering whether this is going to be another situation made worse by Mackenzie’s interfering? She has form!

what’s happened to Todie and Melanie then? Tied up in a basement somewhere? Buried under the patio? I can see Nell and Hugo ending up living with Terese after Toadie leaves. Like when Susan had those step kids without their dad living there (I think he died but I can’t remember!)

SleepingStandingUp · 19/08/2024 20:37

I've missed a ton. Is the plan that Paul pays millions to "buy" the hotel back, Tess banks it and disappears, but the sale is fake?

That sounds about right to me! I hadn't articulated it so well in my head, because stupid, but that must be what's going on. Thank you for clarifying!

Rachel and Zeke?

The Kennedys have had so many random kids live with them over the years that they weren’t even related to. I’m sure either Donna or Ringo lived with them.

I could see Hugo going with him if it was a leaving situation and Nell deciding to stay.

DD enjoyed there being blood into today’s ep 😂. She’s here for the drama. She did not enjoy seeing Heath’s bum.

EBearhug · 20/08/2024 13:49

I wasn't expecting to see Heath's bum.

He isn't to know, but Holly should be aware that going bush rarely ends well for Erinsborough residents. Still, looking forward to Heath being chomped by the croc.

At least Andrew is on the job now. And they've spoken to Reese.

HoHoHoliday · 21/08/2024 01:37

Wow, so much happened in today's episode!
A sinister shot of a swimming crocodile. Will someone end up inside it?
Holly finally remembered that she once went to medical school!
There was only a couple of flights per week to where Holly is and by some miracle, Mackenzie announced one of them was leaving in a couple of hours!
Heath, naked!
Finally, someone called Reece.
Strange camera angles of Tess, we even saw her from underneath at one point.
The welcome return of Paul's PI, John Wong.
Mysterious aerial shot of a long train. I think we can assume Toadie and Melanie are somehow on that train being shipped out to Heath to be "dealt with".
So much action and drama.

I'm unsure, why has Tess sent Heath to that farm in the Outback, what was the reason for going there?

Who will not survive the week? I hope its Heath and he ends up in that crocodile's stomach. That would be a first for Neighbours. I love Toadie and Melanie, I really want a happy ending for them both, either together or separately. Holly has really grown on me. I could do without Mackenzie and Haz.

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 21/08/2024 09:08

@HoHoHoliday love your summing up!

Enjoying this week, I do like the 'action' weeks they do and of course there has to be a bare bum involved somehow.

But I can't think of many things less sexy than a shared bath out in the blistering outback! In fact I think I would hate to go there at all 😂

Holly is a decent character, they've done well with her.

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 21/08/2024 09:10

Mu husband gave me this mug recently 😎

Yes! Their wet feet and the dusty ground, even with sliders must get mucky quick!

MiddleClassProblem · 21/08/2024 12:18

Love the mug!

Today was a good build up to tomorrow. Mac was annoying making it about herself.

HoHoHoliday · 21/08/2024 13:08

@NemesiaPinkLagoon Wow! I'm so jealous! Where did it come from?

HoHoHoliday · 21/08/2024 13:14

Mackenzie "Am I judgemental?"
Yes Mackenzie, very much so.

The mushy conversations between Mackenzie and Haz today make me feel as though something is coming for them.

The bravery of poor Holly, choosing to soak in a bath with her criminal boyfriend, just a matter of weeks after she was tied up in a bath by a criminal.

MiddleClassProblem · 21/08/2024 15:13

I really hope Holly’s smarts has a good pay off. I really liked the idea of her becoming a cop. She may not be savvy in the day to day stuff but she’s good in a crisis.

NemesiaPinkLagoon · 21/08/2024 18:47

I agree, I think something will happen to Mackenzie and she'll get hurt but she won't die. Hence the kissing and stuff with Haz. (Not a spoiler, I've no idea what will happen- exciting!)

suburburban · 21/08/2024 18:52

Shame Holly didn't wait before she tried to use the phone.

If she had actually let him go in the shower

Rummikub · 21/08/2024 21:09

Enjoyed these episodes and the build up.

I'm glad that toadie is still alive. And I like him and Mel together too.

Loving Holly and her scrapes.

When she realised how far away she was from home when heath went off to the station.

NymphInYellow · 22/08/2024 00:33

I thought I must have imagined Holly going to medical school. How did she ever get in? I could see her as a cop though, and she's grown on me loads.

Literally shouted at the telly when Mackenzie said am I judgemental and a rubbish friend. Yes you are!

Loving Neighbours this week! Wonder if the croc will get Heath and his bum.

EBearhug · 22/08/2024 09:11

Wasn't she meant to be in med school in England before going back to Oz?

Hmm, according to Wikipedia, Izzy (her mother) said she was studying medicine, but there's no other mention of it that I can see, and I'm not sure Izzy was always known for truth telling. Some of this coincides with my Neighbourless years, so I'm not sure.

MiddleClassProblem · 22/08/2024 10:22

I think they talked about it in week one of reboot? I think it was that she dropped out and went travelling. And I think Karl talked about it before. Not sure if when Izzy showed up at the end of the last one it was mentioned then?

I’ve just watched today. I loved it! Almost death my corn and then the croc and now the jeopardy for next week with Mac and Toadie. Lots of silly things like Andrew saying park nearby but don’t go in 😂 Why wouldn’t he say just stay where you are or no don’t go there.
