It's back! Sunday 19:45... get your handkerchiefs at the ready for Keith!

Steven! He's the one I don't remember seeing before.

SoupDragon · 04/02/2024 20:47

I think Steve could have potter of the week with the mossy one.i really like it.

LaChatte · 04/02/2024 20:49

I'm not a massive fan of any of these! Steven's is the least awful 😖

Chrysanthemum5 · 04/02/2024 20:55

Oh that's a shame!

SpamhappyTootsie · 04/02/2024 20:56

Ewww, ewwww, not Itchy Moss Bowl Shock

Princess’s decorating style is beautiful and those bowls would have been stunning as a “seasonal” set.

Piggywaspushed · 04/02/2024 20:56

Oh, that's sad. I like Princess.

LaChatte · 04/02/2024 20:57

Love myself a novelty teapot. Feels like there were a LOT of spoilers in that extract though!

Spareincoming · 04/02/2024 20:58

I think it was always going to be Princess this week, a shame but the right one I think.

Spareincoming · 04/02/2024 20:58

@LaChatte yes, I agree, spoilers galore!

Tomorowidonotluvya · 04/02/2024 21:01

Totally agree lachatte
I’m getting annoyed with their spoilers they’re spoiling it every time now.
agree Princess’ time sadly.

TicketyBoo11 · 04/02/2024 21:09

Jan got properly overlooked there. Her cascading make was lovely..shocked at Princess going..Cadi has been on borrowed time for a couple of weeks.

SoupDragon · 04/02/2024 21:11

I always make sure I don't see the "next week" segment.

So has Princess though - she was lucky to get through last week really. I think it could have easily been either of them this week.

elgreco · 04/02/2024 21:38

Cadi before princess surely

elgreco · 04/02/2024 21:57

Was wrong.

She was so good at throwing 😩

SoupDragon · 04/02/2024 22:02

She never managed to take on board their requests about decoration though. It was lovely but always slightly underwhelming. I do think it could have gone either way and I don't think either of them were/are likely to be finalists. It's all so subjective though!

OP posts:
Spareincoming · 04/02/2024 22:05

I really like Cadi’s ideas but they don’t quite get there from the idea to on the build. Which is such a shame.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 22:11

Princess was great at throwing, but not really good at decorating, not as creative as the others. Her feature stood out for the wrong reason.

SoupDragon · 04/02/2024 22:15

Having googled, her Bio says she "enjoys throwing functional items" so it sounds like decorating things it's something she does much of. Not to the same degree as is required by the show anyway.

Again, I much preferred Donna's to the one they chose for Potter of the Week - but pleased he won as he came top in the throwdown challenge and his water feature did cascade well.

I hate it when they run to the Drying Room! And go down those metal stairs outside.

Love Siobhan’s style, always. My Mum has a 70s tablecloth in that jumpsuit material and that isn’t a criticism.

I'm amazed no one has fallen down the stairs yet !

Allchangename354 · 04/02/2024 23:38

I worry about the steps as well but it looks good for the show.

They must have a proper entrance with goods lift as all the heavy equipment must have been set up. Each week they are getting clay up there, 6kg each just for the second challenge. I hope so or they would need to change venue if they had a potter, either contestant or expert who used a wheelchair.

I loved Donna’s. I don’t like to see any of them go this series, agree with Princess unfortunately.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 05/02/2024 08:12

I agree - they're all lovely. They seem to have a great rapport with each other and with the presenters too.

SoupDragon · 05/02/2024 10:14

I wonder whether they have large group "bonding" sessions as part of the selection process and only pick 12 people who get on. It's the same with other similar shows - there only seems to be friendly rivalry rather than outright war.

FuzzyPuffling · 05/02/2024 10:52

I like the genuine kindness and support from the judges. Don't often get that on "competition" shows. I get the feeling that all the potters come away having really learnt something.
