Excited for the Turkey

Oh, the 3 contestants I like all have had mares! (scuse pun)

The turkey is brilliant- mental, but brilliant

It's the bit where they shove other stuff in the box (the combustibles?). I mean, I do understand that it's a chemical reaction but it all seems so random.

The goat is amazing and I like the fox

The alpaca looks better than I thought it would.

I liked the year when they did the vases with the vague smokey designs

some of these just look grubby

I love the owl. Such a shame it cracked,

The turkey is excellent

I thought the black part of the Turkey would be a bit more exciting

The cow is just lovely!

The box bit it for 2 things: getting the exposed bits to go black from the smoke (so anything unglazed, but also the cracks that have appeared in the glaze with the thermal shock when it's taken out of the kiln), and reduction where it's starved of oxygen which creates magical metallic effects depending on what oxides are in the washes and glazes. Different combustibles burn at different temperatures so they can produce different effects on the oxides.

That cow's eye look real! So amazing, such a shame about the crack.

The fox was the weakest? Possibly the owl.

I can't pick this week. Possibly goat woman for potter of the week, Princess or Owl Man to go.

Donna reminds me of Matt in season 1 (I think), on a different level from the others. He was an art teacher too.

I really don't like the goat though.

Now that they've mention Cadi I think I like hers best of the whole ones.
