Could it be David Tennant? Is it eventually Sheridan Smith?? What ridiculous - and possibly even dead- celebrities will the panel name this series? What completely obscure clues will lead us to guess it's Beyonce , and end up being the really obscure one off the Sugababes' 18th line up?

Putting in a guess for Rat being Catherine Tate. It seemed someone funny and the clue of giving everything away is what her character did in Dr Who.

I normally watch the next day so I can fast forward through the adverts and silly guesses. Decided to watch tonight, but dozed off half way through Dippy Egg to the end of Weather, as if I sit in the evening I generally fall asleep!

Bit late - I’m watching it on catch up - but I think dippy egg is Jordan North

Coming in belatedly to say that the M. McFadyen "clue" on the clapperboard isn't a reference to him out of Spooks, I noticed on the credits that he is the actual producer of the VTs for Masked Singer.

DH thinks that Dippy Egg is Chris McAusland (blind standup) but I missed the clues so have no idea whether they fit.

Also, Broad bowled Australia out for 60 once.

I thought Maypole sounded like the actress who plays Whitney Dean in Eastenders.

I watched this on catch up trying to follow your posts without going too far ahead and spoiling myself. I thought Big Foot sounded like Alex Brooker when he sang too, but I would have thought too tall to be Alex? Hard to tell in that kind of costume. No bloody clue about anyone else so far, although Maypole sounded like Rita.

Dionne I saw suggested before I heard her sing.

Ok, so week one guess, Maypole is JoJo Siwa. References to "sew and sew", ribbons, strings to her bow.

And Rat I thought was Carol Smillie, Saltire, tool belt etc, then Jonathan Ross guessed the same

I'm very suss that Rossy got DW so early on, I'm sure he was fed that info because DW wanted out early doors.

I can well believe that Ross and McCall identified DW immediately with no help - it's a very distinctive voice. However I assume that they were "allowed" to guess her, more or less unanimously, and those guesses were broadcast, because the intention was to send her home after one song.

DW was an embarrassing watch. Brilliant in her day but her voice has gone. The idiocy of the panel pretending she was still singing well was even more embarrassing.

This reminds me of Jenny on Gogglebox watching Line of Duty!
