I think it's so good. Love Fargo anyway, but this series focusing on domestic violence and strong women just really hitting all the right buttons for me. Also giving me strong Home Alone vibes.

Anyone else?

Well! I thought it was all wrapped up in the first few minutes.... but was wrong, of course.
Poor Gator.
Great to see the sheriff get his come-uppance, with bells on. (Dying would have been an easy get out - but after what he did to the Trooper, he deserved it.)

The domestic scene was so well done (although the chilli was going cold!), and offered some kind of explanation.

And yes, I agree - new heroine is Lorraine. I did love the "No" artwork in her office, but seeing her softer side was lovely - equally though, seeing the calm menace in her tone at the prison.

Five stars! And worth a rewatch, definitely.

Lorraine became a great character as did the police woman, so sad about the state trooper
the bowl haircut guy was an odd tale. but they always seem to have a couple of odd guys in fargo.
good ending for jon hamm, and for dorothy - love the Minnesota accent.

Oh it was wonderful. Quite triggering for me in parts as a survivor of domestic violence, but also wonderful and emotional and meaningful because of my history ❤

I've watched all 10 episodes in the last week just finishing today. It was very good but at times too violent for me. The acting was excellent.

We're looking forward to starting S5 soon! Just finished S4, which we loved after a bit of a weaker S3 (in our opinion). We're going to take a break and watch another series (maybe The Americans on All4) then get back to Fargo S5.

I was watching the Cellar Club with Caroline Munro recently and she mentioned 'sin eaters' and how in the past they were mainly associated with Wales. I thought the Ole Munch character's history was a made up Fargo invention and had no idea they actually existed.

I think the last sin eater died in the early 1900s. I read that he’s buried in an English village near the border with Wales. His grave was restored about a decade ago following a village fundraiser.

I hadn’t realised there was a new series til I saw this thread. I am so excited. I love the accent they all have

tennissquare · 26/02/2024 17:17

@Wupity , you are in for a treat, it's excellent.

👏👏😃😃

I have finished watching this now and it was really good. I am a bit confused about what wales has to do with it. Not sure if I wasn’t paying enough attention for that bit

LoreleiG · 09/03/2024 14:16

The Welsh bit was hilariously random. I didn’t completely understand either.
