For any budding dancers... both Giovanni and Nikita are doing dance classes around the UK in 2024.. I'm very tempted but don't think I'd keep up at all

It's a weird thread.

I thought it started off light hearted in the OP but agree it's now turned into Neil bashing.. I actually wish he'd get a celeb each year, I don't get the hate he gets.

It has happened every year since he got his first celeb partner. I think comments about him before Alex, were positive and more about his dancing in groups.

I'll never understand the Neil bashing on the Strictly threads - not as bad this year, thank goodness - and wish it would stop. He's a good choreographer and seems like a decent person. As for all the comments about how he pushes himself forward, he's a lot less in-yer-face than some (Karen and Janette spring to mind) and very inoffensive generally.

That has turned into a very mean thread. I also don’t understand all the Neil bashing. I would like to see him with a partner more often to really see what he can do.

There are corners of Telly Addicts/ Threads about TV shows that are nasty and get away with it and , sadly, the Strictly threads can go that way too often. It feels like playground bullies looking for affirmation.

That Neil thread is so depressing in terms of attitudes to redheads and shorter men. I mean WTAF?

Isn't it usually the new year they start to announce if any pros are leaving? Do we think any of the current group gave off leaving vibes this season. I'd have guessed Karen? Possibly Katya - being so tearful could have been a multitude of reasons though.

Hard to tell with the males, I hope Giovanni doesn't but again wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Longest serving pro remaining is Karen, followed by Giovanni (2015), Katya, Neil and then Gorka who all started in 2016, unless you count Luba who I remember seeing in group dances in 2016 as well.

To me it seems like Gio has outgrown Strictly and seems to be doing well outside of it with his own shows and fragrance brand. Not that this means ilhe will leave of course.

Michelle has been a pro for 2 years, but hasn't had a partner yet so I hope she gets paired with someone in the next series, otherwise she will go the same way as Chloe Hewitt and Cameron Lombard.
