I think Nigel HAS remained incredibly guarded throughout, I don't think we've seen the real Nigel at all. The only unguarded moment (even with his daughter, he remained very stoic) we've saw was in the bus with Josie, when he was talking about how irresistibly wonderful he is.
I'm not terribly au fait with Nigel's greater political stance, ie beyond leaving the EU (and it's impossible to gauge how leaving the EU has impacted thus far. In spite of my, personally, being in favour of remaining, I think we're reaping the ills of repeatedly shutting down the economy during the covid years, and the Ukraine war; our woes are very largely not due to leaving the EU).
And when he says immigration requires far better control, he's correct.
So, contrary to what most PP's are saying, his political stances are neither here nor there for me. It's him, as a person, I'm not keen on. He was giving major sleazy vibes during that (rare) candid glimpse he gave us during his chat with Josie. He's conned ITV good and proper out of £1.5 million - his contribution to the program hasn't been worth a tenth of that.
