Cher 😍
What a line up tonight.

A relation has met Tom Hanks at a film premiere. Said he's fab.

I love Cher 💓

Loved this. Imagine one of the world’s current biggest stars, Timothy, being shoved in the “lowly UK comedian” seat because the other guests are so much more A list than you.Grin

Yes, that was what I found very amusing! And that he was accepting his ‘junior’ place. Plus that everyone was giving Cher her ‘grande dame’ space, and squishing Timothée nearly off the other end of the sofa!

it was good, missed the beginning
willy wonka looks an impressive film

He looks like a brilliant Willy Wonka too going by the trailers and the reviews.

Norton is a fantastic host. He's got wit, and has an ability to put his guests at ease. The show is always good craic. Parky was largely tedious.

i agree, graham norton is a fantastic host

UnRavellingFast · 02/12/2023 13:33

So was it HG that JR was talking about? He freely admits to being a grumpy bastard which takes the sting out of it.

WillowTit · 02/12/2023 13:35

i thought it was clooney

WillowTit · 02/12/2023 13:36

i have stopped watchng graham norton as i am usually tired,
then regret it

UnRavellingFast · 02/12/2023 13:37

It was a good show. I like GN as a host and was a bit worried by the crappy P Diddy episode. I thought the poorness of that show was signalling the end. But it was just a blip it seems. Also happy any week goes by when we don’t have to watch Miriam Margoyles’ performative unfunny ‘bluntness’.

beguilingeyes · 02/12/2023 13:49

Gawd, I love Julia Roberts. She's one of those people you can't stop looking at, she's so beautiful. Every time Pretty Woman/Notting Hill are on I find myself watching just to gawp at her.
Both her and Taylor Swift in London at the moment.
The Wonka film looks worth seeing just for Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa, the trailer is a joy.

MrsCarson · 02/12/2023 14:18

I was heading to bed when I saw who was on. It was great, they all played so well off each other.

Sisterpita · 02/12/2023 15:06

Graham is really good at knowing when to let the guests take the lead and how to make sure each guest gets a specific mention for their project. He has matured as a presenter where as JR feels like he is trying to be young and hip.

GellerYeller · 02/12/2023 15:36

I am old enough to remember JR’s first show on Channel 4 and him actually being viewed as the young upstart who was changing the chat show format! Not so much these days, I do prefer Graham.
Loved Cher’s obvious affection for him, talking about his ‘sex show’ and telling Julia that GN’s was THE British chat show. She seemed so sincere, which isn’t always the case with big US stars doing the promotion trail.

mrwalkensir · 02/12/2023 20:49

Guessing Cher was talking about "Mask"?

thebellagio · 02/12/2023 20:55

Last time Cher was on she was only interested in talking to Graham about his role as ft Noel in father Ted. It was hilarious. I think they are genuine friends

JumpingDizzy · 02/12/2023 20:55

I know, Cher loves GN. 😍

I enjoyed it. I loved how they were all massive stars and all bow down to Cher 🤣 I think Graham is a great host. Seems to put guests at ease but also keep it all on track. I can’t imagine it’s that easy with some of the guests who like to chat.

I really want to know who both Cher and Julia were talking about in their stories now.

SequinsandStiIettos · 03/12/2023 01:59

I suspect that Cher was talking about Peter Bogdanovich, director of Mask.
He slated her in an interview in 2019.
I guess she didn't name him as he died last year but I'd be amazed if it wasn't him she was referring to, as they famously did not get on.

I know! You should never gossip if you can't fill in the blanks.

Because not mentioning that film, she was hinting HG was the character in her story!!

Who's HG?

JumpingDizzy · 03/12/2023 03:01

Oh Hugh Grant 🙈

What a show! Cher and Julia Roberts both look absolutely amazing. They are 77 and 56! I have a maternal crush on Timothee Chalamet, what a sweet, talented boy he is. I could have watched at least another hour of them all.

WillowTit · 03/12/2023 06:53

see tom hanks hand was shaking holding the feather

Zonder · 03/12/2023 07:33

Sweet talented boy of almost 28 @ShelleyCarpenter ! I thought he was about 19.

I saw that too @WillowTit I hope he's ok.

I noticed that too, it may just be the aging process or other fairly routine causes.

RaininSummer · 03/12/2023 11:18

Great show. How does get such fab guests together? That young actor was new to me. Loved him and think he will go far indeed.
