I need to rewatch the Jordan Eroca thing, as my perception from half-watching it was that Erica was completely overreacting; she was screeching at him; Jordan yelled because nobody was actually listening to him; Erica then yelled about him yelling; Erica was calling him names etc. I think he was around 20% to blame as opposed to the 99% responsibility she thinks he should be taking

I think Erica went full screech. Pretty much for something that sounded outwith his control.

That said, I’m not sure why he didn’t just tell her when it happened. I think that is the bit she took exception to, rather than the lunge/kissing carry on.

I’m going to rewatch it tomorrow. And fastforward the stuff with Jay.

The Jordan incident seemed like a nasty set up. Someone took that photo and sent it to Luke knowing he was a fishwife who hated Jordan and would use it to stir.
Yy it was on Jordan to tell Erica especially as soon as the rumours started flying. But Thomas and Paul going to the little sofa to chat about the 'elephant in the room' felt as genuine as Ella's lips or Luke's tears.
I remember Nathaniel said the producers/storywriters were so manipulative they almost split up a real couple. I thought he meant Peggy and Georges but after last night maybe it was Erica and Jordan.

No need to rewatch. That is exactly what happened.

We go a festival every year and there used to be an older couple who had several pairs of matching hand knitted jumpers. They had teddy-bears on and stuff like that.

If I went the whole festival without seeing them I felt short changed.

The dinner party episode was deeply unsatisfying. Too much shouting and shit stirring which overshadowed the real manufactured couples.

I could wring the experts' necks, they've been distinctly inexpert at spotting toxic behaviour. And Ella can do no wrong in their eyes which is totally frustrating.

Really hope Jay and Paul find their happy ever after as they're worth more than this.

I got confused when Ella was talking about JJ being the only one to accept her for who she is. It makes no sense, as he clearly didnt want to sleep with her, and I don't think he ever referred to her as she/her

Erica's reaction was as much a problem as Jordan not simply telling her what happened.
Neither of them have healthy communication styles.
Jordan is rigid in his thinking (and has a diagnosed condition evidencing that). Erica is insecure and extremely volatile making her highly unpredictable to Jordan.

His method of dealing with it all is avoidance and doubling down on what he perceives as concrete 'facts'. Erica explodes with emotion.

Of course their relationship will never succeed. Both need individual work before finding more compatible partners.

The contrived shit stirring was just nasty. And again Thomas was happy to be a part of it. It makes me feel that he's not entirely the solid, nice guy he appears.

Luke we know is nasty and should never have been allowed back. Likewise Brad.

I kinda feel sorry for Jordan. I don't think any of those people are his friends. Paul I think is a genuinely nice person but doesn't have it in him to stand up for anyone apart from his crazy wife (and that's only because he's scared of her).
