MAFSUK 10 - it puts the filler in its skin or else it gets the hose again. It rubs the shiny lotion on its skin - it does this whenever it is told. It should really have just put the lotion in the basket and not their face … precious.

I so wanted Roz to have an egg carousel in her kitchen…

Like others, I don’t understand the seismic shift in her affections for Thomas. Unbelievably bollocks. Again, like others, I think she was worried how the first pump would come across and tried to make it better. It didn’t. He got the feels. She got a feel. It ain’t the same.

Peg is a hole and a square one at that. They all think they are Billy big bollocks. They ain’t. They are just bollocks.

I think the Tasha Paul thing is bollocks. Her behaviour was awful. No question. I don’t think Paul and his mates came off well though with their lickle girls and their wows. Seemed very staged and bear pokey…

And who gets their baps out like that when meeting mates? Nay then. I do think she looked hungover ill though. Disappointed fierce mam had disappeared tae.

I couldn’t get bothered about Arfur and Laura. All bollocks.

That marvellous 8 stone weight loss won’t work if ye are hamming chips and steak and onion rings that would feed a family of 6. Stupid bollocks.

And the bollocks that is Peg? I long for Georges to squat in the middle of Peg’s drive, shove one of those fat sparklers ye get on cakes up his hoop to give the family bollocks a last giddy hurrah.

How many tears will Ella shed tomorrow? Or will it be another flappy handed dry eye cry?

I almost can’t wait.. or am I just talking bollocks? 🤔

I am looking forward to tonights I have to say but mainly cos it just means it is nearly over. I wonder will it wrap up sooner than it should cos there wont be anyone staying together to get 'remarried' going by the looks of things.

MouseMinge · 07/11/2023 06:06

I totally missed Ian Huntley saying that about Ella! I hope it's on tonight's episode. Something to look forward to.

43ontherocksporfavor · 07/11/2023 06:51

What chaos was Roz talking about? A sister with a baby and a horse? That’s just life Roz and Thomas seemed charmed by it all and willing to move. Honestly some girls just want bad boys and the decent ones like Thomas and Matt get labelled as boring It’s so boring and . predictable . Peggy and her family, wth? They are clearly after some kind of TV deal- At Home with the Essex fam except they live in Kent.

43ontherocksporfavor · 07/11/2023 06:53

Paul and his lovely parents don’t deserve Tash, they are decent people and she will ruin him. Paul’s mate was so right and succinct.

So I have been watching this for how many weeks now? And I honestly feel like I couldn't pick Peggy out of a line up out of context. She has the blandest, most rigid face and it has no character. If I close my eyes, I can't picture her face at all. It's weird.

Her Dad is a dinosaur and explains so much about her attitude. He wants his daughter to be kept. He sees her as an extension of him, not as a person with self-determination who could make her own money, be a grafter herself and marry someone purely because she likes them as a person. He wants to show off his daughter and her wealthy boyfriend as if it's some personal achievement of his own. Fuck off, mate.

Peggy's face is so odd. She looks like she's had her whole face reconstructed.

cantushy · 07/11/2023 07:04

Re Tash

Imagine you have .D&V and you are staying in a stranger's house for a TV show

You would tell the producers to get you somewhere private. Wouldn't you?

She could have said bye but perhaps she didn't have much time

Maybe Paul's mum poisoned her!

Psychoticbreak · 07/11/2023 07:05

I would say it was more she poisoned herself with alcohol.

sep135 · 07/11/2023 07:09

dunno I don’t have a daughter but pretty sure Dh would want his daughter to have a husband with prospects too - still rude family though agree

I agree it's one thing not wanting your child to marry a lazy layabout and another to abuse a perfectly good career when the only thing your daughter's made a career out of is being a vacuous Barbie. I have sons not daughters but if I did, I'd be encouraging them to invest in their career so they're not dependent on a man.

The irony of the Peggy homestay is her family trying desperately to be posh (when they're clearly not, reference the silly table settings). Whereas I suspect Georges is quite posh so doesn't need to pretend to be anything he isn't and is understated about it, like most old money people. I have a feeling his parents may be loaded but he's keeping that quiet.

I saw this and it made me proper LOL

It's odd that Ros thinks a DSIS, a hobby and some friends is chaos. And that she doesn't realise Thomas has the same (ok I can't remember if he has a DSIS but I'm sure he has at least one sibling). I hate to pull that old MN classic - but if the sexes were reversed everyone (including the experts) would be saying she just used him for sex and never wanted a relationship. Do we think her big statement is going to be that she cheated? Or that she's marrying her egg instead?
I'm pretty sure TwoGeorges and PapaPeggy could have bonded over sport. I'm not buying the conversation ground to a halt at the you're a drifter not a grafter. (Hmm, that sounds like a slogan that should be on a tshirt - anyone wanna buy one? Special discount for MNers? <said in best market trader voice>)
I'm rapidly going off expert Paul - which is a shame because he is beautiful - but he's trying to justify all this bullshit on Twitter and gaslighting about the public using the term gaslighting too much - which sounds like some kind of DoctorWho paradox that will make everything explode in a cascade of red flags.

Appalonia · 07/11/2023 08:20

The ixperts have had a LOT of ( well deserved) criticism on Twitter this year.On Lara's recent podcast they had an actual therapist who said she was very concerned about the lack of support and aftercare for the participants, especially with the amount of hate they get online. They also said that things that were said to the ixperts privately weren't confidential and were fed back to producers. I really think it's time they got some proper professional therapists on as the show is becoming a joke and has lost sight of what made it so compelling. ( evidenced by the fact that there's not ONE successful couple this year ).Lots of pop saying they won't bother watching next year!

TastyLikeARaindrop · 07/11/2023 08:32

I find the parents involvement in this show really odd. Their patronising advice is so cringey.

I have two dc in their late 20's. When they bring partners to visit I don't ask them about their prospects or try to engage my dc in sly little chats to try and put their choice of partner in doubt. They are mature enough to work out if their relationship isn't right. The only time I would step in is if I suspected abuse.

Arthur and Georges have both emerged as great people who were very badly matched and let down. I really hope they've moved on.

follygirl · 07/11/2023 08:34

@Paul2023

My husband worked with her at a previous company. Unsurprisingly she wasn't particularly bright and he didn't rate her at all. He didn't work with her much (he was very senior) but it's funny how he recognised her on MAFS although she used to be a brunette.

follygirl · 07/11/2023 08:45

I was talking about good ole Peggy btw

AtlasPine · 07/11/2023 09:34

The prawn sandwich was 99p, as were the cheapest Ratner trinkets.

AtlasPine · 07/11/2023 09:34

That makes no sense here! I thought I was quoting an earlier poster who asked. Sorry!

AtlasPine · 07/11/2023 09:55

Whoever said Peggy reminded them of Miss Haversian - I thought exactly that too. She’s made herself unpartnerable really with her ridiculous unrealistic idea of her monetary value.

She needs to pack a rucksack with sensible trekking clothes, no make up and one comb then trek around the world for a couple of years camping in yurts, working on seasonal farm jobs, building toilet blocks for South American orphanages and crewing on scruffy boats. Then maybe she’d just about begin to pass as posh.

no make up!!!! surely not. 😂

one comb? her extensions will become ratty

She is the very opposite of posh that one, but it's ok to delude oneself

Yes. All those different plates on top of which they put a cup and saucer and Fox’s choccie biscuits as a centrepiece. Hhahaha!

Ramalangadingdong · 07/11/2023 10:22

Paul’s friends waited until Tasha was out of the room to say what they really felt. When Paul said he really likes her they supported him even though they had misgivings. Compare this with Laura’s disrespectful friends.

I am convinced that Paul’s comment about Tasha being a little girl was a genuine mistake (and I am usually the first to pick up on misogyny). He was grandstanding a bit to his friends - quite immature, but her over the top reaction shows that she doesn’t really know or understand him and isn’t mature enough herself to react without aggression.

SagaNorensPorche · 07/11/2023 10:30

They're proper working class done well
I reckon. Nothing wrong with that, but they have an odd idea about what posh looks like - napkins in glasses for example. All I could see in that house was potential dust. Must be a bugger to clean.

JaneJeffer · 07/11/2023 10:34

Mock King Henry VIII and his Queene in their mock Tudor mansion don't realise that they should be paying Georges of France a dowry to take Princess Peggy off their hands.

TitsInAbsentia · 07/11/2023 10:55

@JaneJeffer yes! But honestly, she really isn't a great catch is she, I expect the family TwoGeorges would send it back (with a baguette) and a big fat 'NON!' 😂
